Origin of name: the name is taken from the name of the star Kvasar. The inventor of this beer was Mr. Jiří Jelínek, who began brewing beer at home in his brewery in Sentice not far from Tišnov. Taste: this beer is characterized by its good head, golden yellow to golden brown color, and good vigor and fullness, which incite further drinking and corresponds to the characteristics of semi-fermented Czech beers. It is distinguished by its slightly sweet character due to its well-balanced bitterness and subtle honey flavor.

On tap at the Czech Inn, Dublin. Very full flavour witht he honey evident, adding an extra dimension to the beer. Sweet, but not cloying. Medium body, very quaffable. There are hops in the background to balance the honey.

In short: A basic honeyed lager with nothing else. Boring
How: Tap at Kralovstvi, Prague
The look: Clear golden blonde body with a medium white head.
In long: Hay and light honey. The whole seems tasted like a baklava-light. Very short finish. This one was seriously lacking hops in the finish to balance it off. Give it some noble hops and it could have made an ok pilsner but without the hops its finish was as disappointing as the one from The Sopranos Series.

Bit boring one with some straw, vegetables and some vanilla. Quite an earthy finish with low carbo and low drinkability. Bit tasteless in the end.

0.5 l bottle. Golden color. Malty and honeyish aroma with some herbal-peppery hops. Sweet, malty, honeyish and cloying flavor with some peppery hoppiness as well as some vinous notes reminiscent of mead.

Bottle @ benzai. Clear golden amber colour with a small white head. Smells malts, slightly glue, a bit weird, caramel. Tastes malts, iron, bit pilsener like. Quite a lot of carbo, thin body.
