COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Origin of name: the name is taken from the name of the star Kvasar. The inventor of this beer was Mr. Jiří Jelínek, who began brewing beer at home in his brewery in Sentice not far from Tišnov. Taste: this beer is characterized by its good head, golden yellow to golden brown color, and good vigor and fullness, which incite further drinking and corresponds to the characteristics of semi-fermented Czech beers. It is distinguished by its slightly sweet character due to its well-balanced bitterness and subtle honey flavor.

50cl bottle @Huismann, Kokkola. Poured golden color with a tiny white head. Aroma is malty and bitter, sour almost. Flavor similar, with a slight metal finish. Not really what I had expected.

0,5 l bottle, bought at Pivni Galerie, Prague.
Poured clear golden with a fine, creamy and very stable, foamy white head. Aroma is caramel and malt, sourish yeast and some grassy-herbal hop, some honey and vanilla. Medium body and smooth mouthfeel, fine sweet malt based flavor with honey and vanilla. Spicy hop bit on the palate, some freaky almond in the aftertaste.

Smells malty sweet, some aroma hops come through. Starts with lots of hops, some sweet malt aromas, also some hints of honey. Low carbonated. It tastes very sweet, honey really comes through a little. The aftertaste is slightly bitter, but very fine and not too pushy.

Pours a bright yellow with thousands of bubbles surrounding the body under a quickly dimishing white head. Aroma is earthy, wet hops with a strange sour grass component. . . flavours are subtle but there for the patient: apricots, spicy hop cones, pepper, crunchy sourdough crust and a raisin or two, pleasant and refreshing.

Golden amber colored pour. Medium-sized white head, peaky. Little bit of lacing as it drops. Spicy aroma of coriander, malt. Taste is pretty much the same with a slight sourness to it. It’s okay.

Bottled, thanks to FatPhil! Aroma of some honey, ginger & lemon. Taste slightly of honey, quite ok for a lager. Yellow-orange body.
