COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Origin of name: the name is taken from the name of the star Kvasar. The inventor of this beer was Mr. Jiří Jelínek, who began brewing beer at home in his brewery in Sentice not far from Tišnov. Taste: this beer is characterized by its good head, golden yellow to golden brown color, and good vigor and fullness, which incite further drinking and corresponds to the characteristics of semi-fermented Czech beers. It is distinguished by its slightly sweet character due to its well-balanced bitterness and subtle honey flavor.

Draught at Pivo Söröző, Bp. Clear amber with a medium sized, creamy white head and soft carbonation. Low-keyed, sweetish nose. Sweet-sourish aroma with biscuits, dough and herbals underpainted gently by honey, mouthfeel’s slick. The sharp, sweetbitter tasted finish is medium to long with spices, honey and citrusses. Balanced and enjoyable.

UPDATED: DEC 23, 2013 a habja gyorsan eltűnő, a színe gyönyörű méz, ami az ízében és enyhén az illatában is érződik. Egyébként kiválló cseh lager, talán kicsit ’vizesebbnek’ tűnő.

dortmunder (961) - Herdecke, GERMANY - MAR 29, 2005
Tap. Clear golden colour. Big, frothy, lacey head. Slightly sweet, grassy nose, bu rather weak aroma in general. Sweet, caramelly taste. Then there is something that reminds of mlik-chocolate, which I deem to be the honey. Tastes a bit like a dark bock to me rather than a pale lager(?). Slightly chewy mouthfeel, rather fullbodied. I seem to be the only one, who likes this beer, and was quite suprised to find it rated so lowly here.
