COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Origin of name: the name is taken from the name of the star Kvasar. The inventor of this beer was Mr. Jiří Jelínek, who began brewing beer at home in his brewery in Sentice not far from Tišnov. Taste: this beer is characterized by its good head, golden yellow to golden brown color, and good vigor and fullness, which incite further drinking and corresponds to the characteristics of semi-fermented Czech beers. It is distinguished by its slightly sweet character due to its well-balanced bitterness and subtle honey flavor.

Černá Hora Kvasar S Medem 14° :: Off white head, clear golden body. Leafy hops, gazzy malts, mildness to the nose. Mild taste, sweet mild caramel, grass, modest hops, brown bread, fermented fruit in syrup - leading to a fruity malty finish. On palate ok. Nice brew. Bottle: Golden colour, thin, short lasting head; sweetish, slightly malty beginning, malt-accented taste, quite medium bodied, short, spicy and bitter aftertaste with a tinge of sweetness; the honey is extremely well hidden, nearly the same brew as the "Lezak" with a tinge of sweetness, but not , as expected, better rounded. Anyway: a good one.......

Bottle, bought in Prague.
Pours clear golden with a big, whipped-cream, white head. Good duration. Aroma has some notes of butter, lightly vinious, apples and grassy hops and a little brewing cereal. Fine mouthfeel, medium carbonation. Flavour is powerful, some sugary sweetness at first. A light fruity and grassy hoppy edge. Okay, but too sweet to be great.

Bottle at the Pivkan festival in Zagreb. Poured agolden body with a medium-small white head. Malty and dusty nose, ordinary sweetish malty taste, light standard hoppy bitterness. Not bad, better than the rest of the line, just didn’t find it all that exciting.

Smells malty sweet, some aroma hops come through. Starts with lots of hops, some sweet malt aromas, also some hints of honey. Low carbonated. It tastes very sweet, honey really comes through a little. The aftertaste is slightly bitter, but very fine and not too pushy.

Bottle - Yellow/Copperish colour, with a thin head. Some honey sweetness for the nose, the taste is combined with some sweetness, low bitterness and soury malt. The ending again is sweet. Not bad at all, could be a little be more complex.
