Černá Hora Kvasar S Medem 14° : Off white head, clear golden body. Leafy hops, gazzy malts, mildness to the nose. Mild taste, sweet mild caramel, grass, modest hops, brown bread, fermented fruit in syrup - leading to a fruity malty finish. On palate ok. Nice brew. [50cl.btl 5.7%abv BB280716 Černá Hora Kvasar S Medem 14°] COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION: Origin of name: the name is taken from the name of the star Kvasar. The inventor of this beer was Mr. Jiří Jelínek, who began brewing beer at home in his brewery in Sentice not far from Tišnov. Taste: this beer is characterized by its good head, golden yellow to golden brown colour, and good vigour and fullness, which incite further drinking and corresponds to the characteristics of semi-fermented Czech beers. It is distinguished by its slightly sweet character due to its well-balanced bitterness and subtle honey flavour.

0,5l bottle, 5,7% ABV. Dark yellow with fast dying creamy white head. Aroma of malt, hops and honey. Taste hops, citrus well balanced, more bitterness and honey in aftertaste. Excellent definitely one of the best beer.

Takie dosc slabienkie piwo, oszczedne jesli chodzi o miod. Slodycz z miodu nie dominuje, jest piwo na tyle wytrawne i dodana spora dawka zateckiego chmielu ze rownowazy doskonale slodycz. Ale miod sie wyczuwa zwlaszcza w pierwszym posmaku. Zapach miodowo akacjowy i kwiatowy. Piana spora wytrwala.

18/X/13 - 50cl bottle @ home - BB: 1/XI/13 (2013-979) Thanks to Marie for sharing the bottle!

Clear light orange beer, irregular creamy white head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: smells like creamy spreadable sweet honey, floral, bit sugary, some citrus. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: honey, but not very sweet, bit floral, sweet malts, fruity touch. Aftertaste: bitter, malty, some citrus, grains, pretty hoppy, some banana, honey. Strangely enough, I quite enjoyed this!

on tap at san marino pizzeria in pilsen, home of the city’s cheesiest (edam, of course), soggiest and possibly worst pizza (quite a claim!). anyways, faintly hazed pale golden with a lasting head; dull old jar of honey aroma; lightly woody in the same way old books are; lacking in spirit
