Commercial Description:
The basis of the blueberry beer is the light lager Páter, to which is added blueberry extract just before bottling, which is made by macerating real dried blueberries in alcohol solution. One hectoliter of beer needs 120 grams of dried blueberry extract. This flavored lager has a slightly bluish color and a subtle blueberry fragrance. The beer has excellently well-balanced taste characteristics and the blueberry taste will definitely not find ghastly. It provides you with a beer taste in a completely different dimension and thanks to the bottled version you can taste it at home.

A wonderful example for Poles on how a fruit beer should be like. Pours reddish-amber, ale-like colour with small but lasting head. The aroma is of somehow artificial berries, but the taste is great - absolutely, and I mean it, absolutely no sweetness; instead we have fruity/berry notes with slight bitterness in finish. Very enjoyable, a plesant surprise.

Bottle, 4.4%. OK berry aroma, actually has some blueberry. Hazy dark amber colour. Nice stable tan head. OK berry flavour. Not sweet, but fruity. Does not seem like a very good base beer, but the berry taste is all right.

Hazy copper color, fluffy off-white head. Apricots fruity scent, also pineapple and "päronsplitt" ice-cream. Malty very moderate taste, some pineapple aftertaste. Medium mouthfeel, medium bitterness. Also "Päronsplitt" ice-cream taste. I like it more for each sip!

bottle from Galerie Piva, Prague. Modá Luna is a boruvkove pivo, a blueberry beer. Amber-red colour, large head. Aroma of blueberries and chewing gum. ight-bodied, pleasantly hoppy, not sweet at all, rather dry and slightly bitter. Shy malty background with blueberry flavours and nice bitter hops. Quite well-balanced. An interesting brew.
