COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

OleR (4608) - Oslo, NORWAY - DEC 17, 2011
0.5 L bottle bought @Pivoňka, Hradec Králové. Pale gold, almost crystal clear. A thin layer of tiny blond bubbles on top. Creamed caramel and cakey malts on the nose. No fruit esters, actually. Caramel sweet malt flavor. Some strange fruit tones, reminiscent of overipe banana. Juicy texture. Medium full. Sweet, lightly spiced fruit finish. A strange one. A kristallweizen with a sugar issue?

Beershine (5196) - The Sunshine State, Florida, USA - SEP 23, 2011
Bottle @ Qingdao beer festival. Dark gold with a cap. Aroma is socky, not the greatest. Thin and bland but has a yeasty palate. Remains socky throughout, dull with some remote spiced but rotten banana esters. Not a great beer, and gets worse as it warms. Or perhaps just not in great condition.

0,5 l. bottle. Nice orange-amber colour with a big, white head that slowly faded. For a beer with this price tag, fairly complex aroma: Bread, hay, barnyard yeasts, banana and some bubblegum (?). Bitter-sour taste - very refreshing. Medium body, thin texture with a short, bitter-sour finish. A bit more sour than the average hefewiesen, but in a refreshing way.
