16/XI/13 - 50cl bottle @ home - BB: 17/XII/13 (2013-1067) Thanks to Marie for the bottle!

Little cloudy pale orange to beige beer, slightly creamy white head, unstable, bit adhesive. Aroma: lots of banana, banana candy, a bit medicinal, sweet, sugary. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: lots of and lots of banana, bit sweet, bitter touch, spicy, cloves. Aftertaste: green banana, sweet, yeast, little metallic, grains, lots of banana again.

Bottle 50cl. Color is golden, sparkling, hazy, foamy head. Aroma: banana, yeast, malt, vanilla. Taste is watery, dry, lacking more substance, wheat malt & lemon, has none of the sweetness found in the aroma.Very lively carbonation, astringent finish. It’s quite refreshing and must be great on a hot day, but it is not exactly what I expected from a Hefeweizen.

Tap at Bohemia Sörkonyha, Pecs. Hazy light yellow colour, average creamy mostly lasting white head, decent lacing. Moderately malty aroma of white bread, caramel and banana with light floral hops. Moderately sweet initial taste with some sourness, short light acidic finish with more sourness, medium to full body, oily texture, lively carbonation. Very nice aroma and palate, taste wasn’t very balanced though. Anyways one of the better non-German hefeweizens.

Bottled. Part of the Cerna Hora 8-pack I bought recently at LIDL for only 3.33€. What a bargain! Typical weissbier aroma, color and taste. One of the best non-German weissbiers I have drunk. Refreshing. Tasty but no match to an Erdinger or Weihenstephaner.

Pours like a typical weiss beer with lots of head. Aroma is nice. Taste is a very good weiss beer, but not quite as good as the best ones. Overall, it is a very drinkable beer.

50 cl glass on tap, (sadly) served with a tiny slice of lemon i removed as soon as i discovered it within the foam. Briggt orange color, partially hazed, big white head. Feels yeasty as weizens does, definitely wheat malts, softly spiced. Citrusy, but can’t say for sure if it was because of the lemon slice inside (but it was a good match). Dry and refreshing. Light bodied, not nice as the German ones, but was appreciated.

(Draught at Zly Casy, Prague, 17 July 2013) Hazy golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty, wheaty nose with notes of citrus, banana and bready malt. Malty, wheaty taste with bread, citrus, banana and hints of grassy hops. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Quite enjoyable.
