A traditional Czech dark lager with rich flavour given by a special combination of four types of malt, which also endows the beer with fullness and a unique caramel flavour and aroma. A pleasant bitterness and rich stable foam complete the unique character of the beer.

UPDATED: OCT 31, 2013 Taster from a bottle, thanks Pyry. Aroma is dark bready malts, some light dark fruitiness. Taste is dry with bready malts, some dunkel-like fruitiness, light herbal hoppiness. Surprisingly dry for a Czech dark.

Mahogany color. Malt, caramal, some brown sugar, a little burned character. Taste is caramel, sweetness, some "brownness" a very small roasted character. A very average beer - not bad, but nothing I would go back into actively.

Lahev: Deep ruby-amber coloured, small and persistent off-white head, moderate dryish toasty-caramelly nose; light bitter-sweet flavour, very light bodied; relatively thin and dry bitter-malty finish. Nothing wrong with it, just a bit watery…

Barva: černá s rubínovou jiskrou. Pěma středně hustá, poměrně rychle opadávající. V§ně: velice příjemná karamelově kávová. Chuť: výrazný chmelový nástup přechází v plnou sladovou chuť a lehký spíše kratší chmelový dozvuk. Lehounká kávová stopa. Říz mírný. Příjemný standardní tmavý ležák v tom nejlepším slova smyslu.

It was like one of my visits to the Czech Republic, very nice.
