COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
AON is an Ipa that has everything you could want in one, if what you want is a hop sandwich. It’s a 7.7% Simcoe and Columbus delight. Only get to make this 3 more times till 2013!

This beer was also known as "American IPA." It was the generic label given to each participating brewery’s American-style IPA at the St. Louis Brewers Heritage Festival in June 2011.

Sampled at an esbls tasting. Almost clear golden. A small white head. A pleasant caramel and floral aroma. A mildly bitter flavor with lots of malts. This is borderline impy. Nice.

750ml bottle from beernbourbon poured into a shaker. Thanks Vince! Pours a ckear dark gold with sbout a half finger of white head. Aroma is pine and citrus hops. Taste is medium bitter snd light sweet. Lots if pine and citrus with a dash of honey. Medium bodied with a slick yet creamy texture. Lively carbonation and a long finish. Overall, not bad. This makes me want to try even more of their stuff.

Great citrusy aroma, grapefruit is there as well as orange, fucking simcoe manne. Good shit. Pale malt, light sweetness, a little bread and biscuit. Pours bright golden orange, great head and lace. Solid clarity. Flavors of citrus - juicy grapefruit and orange with some danky notes up in there as well. Light malt presence, pale and a little bread/biscuit. Just a tad of sweetness. Good fucking shit super drinkable. Would love to try this one tap.

Tan to orange with just a touch of haze, nice white head and very good lacing. Smell is nice and hoppy, although a bit funky IMO. Dry, earthy malts mix with tons of hoppy aromas, along with plenty of pine and grapefruit. Taste follows but without the funk that I detected in the smell. Body is medium and slightly oily with hops, with a sweet, pungent hoppy aftertaste. Bitterness is noticeable but nice. It’s a very fine IPA, definitely worth a try. This one leads me to want to try more from 2nd shift.

Capped 750 from Wine & Cheese in Clayton, MO. Pours clear light copper with a 4 finger foamy/frothy off-white head. Lots of hop aroma- floral, pine, citrus. Med+ body. Flavor is mostly pine/citrus over some very smooth roast malt. Floral? Finish is sweet malt and grapefruit rind. Gotta be pretty balanced. Quite delicious.

750ml Bottle: Got in trade from Phaleslu; THANKS Peter! Aroma of caramel malt, floral hops, citrus, light grapefruit, and a hint of tropical fruit. Poured orange/amber in color with a large, cream, dense, rocky, white head that diminished but lasted throughout. Cloudy. Sparkling. Full of tiny and small-sized particles throughout. Excellent lacing. Flavor is lightly sweet and medium to heavily bitter. Tastes of malt, hops, pine, resin, citrus, grapefruit, and a hint of tropical fruit. Medium body. Oily, then dry texture. Average carbonation. Caramel malt, hop, pine, resin, grapefruit finish is medium to heavily bitter, lightly sweet, and dry. 7.7%ABV is completely hidden throughout.

Bottle. Pour is slightly hazy copper with a thin white head. Aroma is loaded with citrus grapefruit hops, light caramel malt, and more citrus hops. Great aroma! Flavor is more malty than aroma with notes of caramel malt, deep citrus hops, faint resinous hops, and a touch of floral hops. Really great stuff. A touch of bread in the finish. Great IPA.

Sampled at St. Louis Microfest 2011 - Pours golden / orange with an off-white head. The aroma has orange / citrus smooth hoppiness, toasty caramel malt and some fruitiness. Medium body with fairly soft carbonation. The flavor starts off with light caramel malt and lots of hops ~ funky / tropical fruit / pine and citrus. The finish is resiny and lingering. Really nice IPA.
