750 ml bottle to goblet at the Side Project Cellar (2016 vintage). Looks solid; undercarbonated though. A still, nearly opaque very dark cola. Smells of dark malt, chocolate, coffee, and roast. Tastes like it smells with a smooth but still medium full-bodied mouthfeel that finishes fairly bitter. Good, but would be a lot better if it had some carbonation.

Bottle. Pours opaque black, large brown super creamy long lasting head, great lacing. Aroma is coffee, espresso, mocha, molasses, roasted malts, hints of tobacco. Flavor is light sweet, medium bitter, rich velvet mocha, huge flavor bomb. Full body, creamy mouthfeel. One of the best straight coffee imperials I have had. Kudos guys.

750ml bottle in a tulip. Pours black with a tan head. Aroma of strong coffee, roastiness, some chocolate, faint hints of licorice, some light sweetness, and hints of bitterness. Flavor an incredible blend of an imperial stout plus coffee. Smooth texture. Dang, dat good.

Bottle shared at Guinnís house. Batch #4, one of 150 bottles. Pours dark brown. Aroma is dark fruits, roasted malts, lots of dark chocolate and lots of coffee. Coffee is entwined well into the beer. Not harsh at all. Milky chocolate coffee, sort of. Fairly sweet. Overall, a really nice beer.

Sampled at the W&C Beer Fest 2015. It poured a black color with a tan head. The aroma was of malts, coffee and a touch of vanilla. The taste was similar to the aroma with some coffee bitterness and a creamy vanilla sweetness. It was light in body with a touch of bitter sweetness. Excellent.

It poured a pitch black color with a light tan head. The aroma was full of toasty malts, bold coffee notes and a hint of vanilla sweetness. The taste was a very well balanced roasted coffee bitterness with a creamy vanilla sweetness. It was almost like coffee with milk and sugar. Also, light in body with a lingering bitter sweetness. It was not too heavy and a perfect coffee presence. Nice.

Draft at the bridge. Pours black with a thick khaki head. Lots of malt on the nose. I canít say Iím getting a ton of coffee here on the tongue but thereís a lot of chewy malt and a fair amount of hoppiness on the finish. Solid but not amazing.
