Yup, we love hops and this IPA puts them all up in your face. Loads and Loads of Falcaner’s Flight, a blend of Northwest hops was used in such a gratuitous manner heretofore not seen in these parts. ENJOY

Thin to no head. Dark copper. Very deep bitterness (centennial?). Lasting bitterness. I dont think I’ve said this before May almost too hoppy.

I have this every chance I get. A lot at Bailey’s Range. Citrus hop bomb nose. Oranges and grapefruit with some nice sweet fruit juice notes. Herbal, grassy and dank hop notes. Complex nose. Gotta love Falconer’s Flight Hops. This is a special brew. Unique and wonderful. Very intense hop notes that are well crafted. The malt bill seems to play it safe in the background with some bready grain notes and that’s about it but that is perfect because it puts these huge Falconer’s Flight Hops on display and in your face. Mmmm. This is only one of a few Falconer’s Flight Hopped beers that I can find. I use them in my Home Brewed IPA. They are an amazing blend.

Aroma was light citrusy hops and a ton of caramel malt. Smelled very sweet. Taste was similar but not as sweet as the nose would lead on. Not too bad, just could use some more hop bite.

This IPA was certainly a malt bomb, but that wasn’t a bad thing here. The aroma had some hops in it, the rest was oranges and candy. It tasted like dried citrus and light honey, only with dank hops lingering in the background. Overall a good separation of flavors, like a decent American strong ale. I could see it being pretty damn good fresh.

Growler to go from the brewery. Sampled at Exira Beer Summit 2012. Pours a hazy orange color with white head. Grapefruit, citrus, hoppy flavors. Some tropical fruit and grassy/earthy notes. A touch of alcohol.

Plastic growler @ Exira Beer Summit III. Thanks to jcnielsen! Maybe a week old. Pours a hazy dark orange appearance with little to no head. Pungent, somewhat sticky, piney hoppy, orange citrusy, earthy aroma. Kind of chewy earthy, somewhat resiny flavor that’s pretty potent with some booze on the back end. Ok, but it is a bit strong.

Pint at the Bridge House in downtown St. Louis. It’s a liquifide fruit cocktail. Mangos pop out with some laid back grassy flavors. Hoppy grapefruit presence. Bright orange-red. LIght-to-medium bodied palate and lively palate carbonation mouthfeel. It’s tasty in moderation, and a not-so-pungent dipa. The high abv is well hidden behind a bunch of fresh flavors. I give it a B+.

750ml bottle poured into a tulip. Pours a lightly cloudy dark orange, almost ruby, with a quarter finger of white head. Aroma of tropical fruits. Mostly pineapple and mango with mango with a little grapefruit and pine. Taste is medium bitter. Very tropical, pineapple and mango with grapefruit. Medium bodied with a lightly sticky texture. Lively carbonation and a long bitter finish. Overall, awesome. I would drink this every day if I could!

Sampled on draft at iTap. It poured a mostly clear reddish brown color with some chill haze and off-white foam, lasting with lace. Aromas of bread, caramel, and LOTS of resiny, flowery, earthy, and citrusy hops, some fruity ale yeast esters beneath. The flavor was strong amber malt sweetness with even stronger grapefruity hops bitterness and tang, caramelized brown sugar, toffee, apricots. Tons of flavor packed into every ounce. Medium body and carbonation, no trace of elevated alcohol, lingering bittersweet aftertaste. A very fine-crafted brew.
