4.5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Large bottle into teku, "drink by 10/2015" so we beat that by 3-4 months. I’m a big fan of Falconer hops so when I read the deScription on the bottle while on vacation, standing in the limited/rare section…I had no choice. Aroma is of a rich yet subtle orange, color is a classic orange and cloudy. So smooth in taste, damn near perfection. If you chug it then it can be a little boozy in the mouth, this is to be savored and appreciated. It’s not complex or complicated, but concentrated craftsmanship. No way am I passing through MO again without seeking out more of this wonderful IIPA.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
750. Pours a hazy orangish amber with a very dense and thick head. Aromas are fairly subdued... a bit of orange blossom, soap and light citrus. Flavor is a nice and punchy DIPA with lots of resin and citrus and a hint of soap. It balances nicely against a nice malt presence that sits about half way between honey and caramel. Very nice.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Hmm...I’m not getting the tropical fruit and citrus that most other reviewers report. I get lots of resinous bitterness, some booze (but not crazy) and some light sweetness in the background. The bitterness is very intense. Fairly highly carbonated. Maybe mine is a little old? OK, but not great.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle shared at the July MDF tasting. Clear copper, large fizzy tan head, good retention. Aroma of tropical fruits, zest and pithy citrus, caramel malt. The taste is tropical, citrus hops, caramel malt. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, mild lingering bitterness.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
750ml bottle courtesy of gregwilsonstl, pours with a nearly clear copper body that supports a light tan head of foam. The aroma offers up sweetened tangelo and clementine flowing into a blend of floral hops and malts. The taste delivers pleasing hoppy layers of citrus juiciness and bitterness with pineapple and mango helping to add more depth. To midway it picks up more bitterness mixed with sweet malts and then some floral hops. This has tasty depth and balance. Pretty solid.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
A vibrant tropical orange body with tall white head, massive citrusy, catty, piney hop character over sweet citrusy components on a wonderfully smooth medium body

3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
1/25/15. On tap at 21st St in STL. Orange pour, nice khaki head, good lacing. Awesome aroma, huge fresh hop character, dank, pine, citrus, tropical, and more. Yum. Disappointing flavor, like Neurosis on steroids, but much sweeter and maltier, too much so, which kills it a little bit. Otherwise very enjoyable.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle. I have to chuckle at the label (not the one shown here, but one of a heavily "bearded" rooster chomping on a hop), and wonder if the BATF guy who approved the name and label could appreciate the double entendre of both the name and the label. Anyway .. nicely done aggressively hopped, high alcohol ale here. Full of citric, piney hop and a solid-as-a-flock malt back drop ... A+ beer. (#5870, 11/22/2014)
