3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Plastic growler @ Exira Beer Summit III. Thanks to jcnielsen! Maybe a week old. Pours a hazy dark orange appearance with little to no head. Pungent, somewhat sticky, piney hoppy, orange citrusy, earthy aroma. Kind of chewy earthy, somewhat resiny flavor thatís pretty potent with some booze on the back end. Ok, but it is a bit strong.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pint at the Bridge House in downtown St. Louis. Itís a liquifide fruit cocktail. Mangos pop out with some laid back grassy flavors. Hoppy grapefruit presence. Bright orange-red. LIght-to-medium bodied palate and lively palate carbonation mouthfeel. Itís tasty in moderation, and a not-so-pungent dipa. The high abv is well hidden behind a bunch of fresh flavors. I give it a B+.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
750ml bottle poured into a tulip. Pours a lightly cloudy dark orange, almost ruby, with a quarter finger of white head. Aroma of tropical fruits. Mostly pineapple and mango with mango with a little grapefruit and pine. Taste is medium bitter. Very tropical, pineapple and mango with grapefruit. Medium bodied with a lightly sticky texture. Lively carbonation and a long bitter finish. Overall, awesome. I would drink this every day if I could!

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sampled on draft at iTap. It poured a mostly clear reddish brown color with some chill haze and off-white foam, lasting with lace. Aromas of bread, caramel, and LOTS of resiny, flowery, earthy, and citrusy hops, some fruity ale yeast esters beneath. The flavor was strong amber malt sweetness with even stronger grapefruity hops bitterness and tang, caramelized brown sugar, toffee, apricots. Tons of flavor packed into every ounce. Medium body and carbonation, no trace of elevated alcohol, lingering bittersweet aftertaste. A very fine-crafted brew.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
It poured a rose color with a small white head. The aroma was of florals and grass with a hint of citrus. The taste was of grapefruit, citrus, some melons and a sweet taste. A very good brew.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Capped 750 from Wine and Cheese in Clayton, MO. Pours clear dark copper with a 4finger creamy beige head. Lots of fruit in the nose. Seems a mix of tropic, light pitted and citrus. Not getting caramel, but thereís lots of head in the way. Finally. The malt seems pretty roasty. Near full bodied. Flavor has a big roast malt backbone, but thereís a huge amount of floral, citrus and mixed fruit to hold it down. This seems very fresh and lush. Iím thinking itís between 1 and 2 months old - based on memory of when it could be ordered. Some resin starts oozing into the mix. Itís hoppy plus, but itís smooth not harsh and burning. Finishes hoppy and bitter with a little sweet backing. Brilliant effing ale.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
(draught) light amber with small white head but nice lace. Mild citrus/fruity aroma. Flavor is mild citrus, a little fruity, some light malt. I was underwhelmed.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Huge thank to phaleslu for this bottle. Dark hazy orange pour with a nice fluffy white head, great retention. Nice aroma full of citrusy and floral hops, big notes of orange, some pine and lemon peel. Flavors were nice and bitter throughout with a nice boozy kick. Big bittersweet citrus notes from top to bottom. Mouthfeel was on the fuller side, smooth, good carbonation. Nicely done big IPA. A bit unbalanced but overall this was quite good.

Bottle (dregs)Ö CCBís Hunahpuís Day 2012Ö Amber colored ale with a small, fizzy, off-white head. Good retention. The bouquet is very fruity Ė mango, tangerine, pineapple Ė but also biscuity and bready with a trace of resin. Full-bodied with a milky mouthfeel and fizzy carbonation. Fantastic malt backbone with a more-than-charitable hop bill to match. Terrific bitterness; low sweetness. Lengthy, grapefruity, tropical-fruity, bitter finish. Thanks to the generous dude from Missouri who provided my pour!

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pour is bait darker than expected copper with a white head. Aroma is pine and citrus hops on a sweet malt backbone. Mostly mango and pineapple but also pine notes. Flavor very true to nose with citrus and pine hops on a sweet malt canvas. Would love to see a less malty version.
