Tasted at the 2012 St. Louis Centennial Beer Festival from tap into sampler glass. Poured a cloudy light golden color with fluffy white head, long-lasting with some lace. In almost every sense true-to-style Belgian Wit, which is to say tasty and refreshing, plus additional flowery/perfumey Hibiscus flower essence. Unique and well-crafted, highly recommended.
3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 bhensonb (7570) - Woodland, California, USA - JAN 25, 2012
Capped 750 from Wine & Cheese in Clayton, MO. Pours dishwater gold with a frothy/bubbly white head. I think the aroma actually is hibiscus. Weird. Med body. Flavor is belgian yeast/spice and arguably citrus, but there’s a weird herb/floral that seems hibiscus. With maybe a hint of tobacco and/or leather. This is astringent and dry. Who’d a thought a this.

Draft. Pour is cloudy dirty yellow with a medium white head. Aroma is lightly funky and spicy with floral notes and a hint of rock candy. Flavor is brighter than the aroma with the flowery hibiscus notes really coming through. Also underlying notes of wheat, hay, and a light spiciness. Not bad.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 vyvvy (2877) - Florissant, Missouri, USA - JUN 19, 2011
Sampled at St. Louis Microfest 2011 - Pours hazy pink with a light pink head. Can’t say it’s the most masculine looking beer, but what does that matter. The aroma is fairly spicy with coriander and there is also a good amount of wit-like wheat and hibiscus ~ since a few hibiscus beers have come out, I’ve found I really like it in beer. Medium crisp body with some frothy soft carbonation. The flavor starts with wheat, low spiciness, hibiscus and some citrus. The finish bumps up the spice a bit more. Quite nice take on a wit.
