Capped 750 from Wine & Cheese in Clayton, MO. Pours translucent gold with a slight, transient white head. Mild aroma - almost like apple cider. Med + body. Truly the effect is of a lightly tart cider with skins apparent. Thins a bit as the carb leaves. Blind tasting? I’m sure I’d go for cider. And state that it is one of the best ciders ever! Good drink.

Bottle @ Richard’s tasting. Pale golden pour with a white head. Fairly light aroma, but nice tartness, lemon, and apple. Hints of grass, pear, and white grape. Dry, lactic flavor. Lemon, apple skin, and white grape. Notes of grass, straw, and yeast.

Tap at The Bridge in St Louis. Clear golden pour. Weak foam, swaths of white lace. Nose up front is a tad sharp pickle focused, buttery white wine, buttered Hawaiian sweet roll, mild starfruit juice. Taste is refreshing, starfruit juice abounds, pineapple spritzer, bubbly carbonation on the tongue. Palate gives yellow fruit juice, pineapple, lactic acid. Hints of spicy dry wood finish. Actually quite impressive.

Light and effervescent brew, light and mild funk notes, overall not too bad.

UPDATED: APR 14, 2014 Guest tap at Perennial. Pours a cloudy pale yellow-gold color with a small bone white head. Aroma of grapes, dry and bready malts, straw, farmhouse funk, lemon citrus, and a little yogurt. The flavor follows suit but doesn’t quite come across as crisp and fresh as the nose. Light-bodied, with a dry, funky mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Really nice bretty saison. Could drink this one all day. Re-Rate: Yeah, so clean and nice. Citrusy, tart, dry, refreshing. Lovely.

750mL bottle, sent from xscottypx (thanks a lot, Scott), pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out bretty upfront, with citrus fruits, some light tropical fruits and some light tartness. Flavour brings out lemony fruits, with some dusty citrus fruit skins, brett funk, a touch of banana, some peach creamsicle, and dry wheaty notes. Very highly drinkable, with a nice bretty touch and dry body. Great stuff.

Draft pour on tap at GTMW 2013 (Madison, WI). Pours a rich pale straw hue, richly hazed with some dulled elements. Frothy whitish head. Aromas are gentle yeast, hibiscus, citrus, and gentle fruit. Prtty clean, some gentle sweetness. A bit of vanilla, yogurt. Initial is dry, a gentle sweetness. Mellow tartnessn vanilla, gentle tannic presence. Some vanilla, fruit. Backend is dry, a bit fruity. Ok. A bit weird.

Sampled at an esbls tasting. Hazy straw golden. A nose that is sour, funky, fruity, and yeasty. Some lemongrass. A thin feel and almost no carbonation. Subtlevlemon flavors, grass. This is long on refreshing if short on flavor. It is a nice summer beer.

Pours yellow / golden with a modest white head. The aroma has light funk, sharpness, hints of chardonnay, dry grapes and acidity. It has a medium crisp body with lots of frothy sharp carbonation. The flavor begins with some brett funk, pale malt, pepper, oakiness, bugs, lemon and chardonnay. The finish is dry, crisp and has some light fruitiness. Excellent saison from 2nd shift.

Tap at Bailey’s Range in Downtown st Louis June 2012-pours hazy dark yellow with a fizzy large bubbled white smooth head. Wow, thats a different nose-lemons, GOP, funk, slight hay/barnyard character. flavors show the hay/barnyard and GOP quite well. Long lemony dry finish. lingering GOP long into the finish. damn, this is a very dry brett beer. The brett character isnt huge in this beer, say like a Rayon Vert, but this is probably the most sessionable brett beer i have ever had. well done 2nd shift!
