On tap at 2nd Shift festival. What a wonderful subtle brett beer. Saison spiced aroma with a citrus, funky taste. Perfect for St. Louis summers, and I could drink it all day long.

Sampled on tap at the 2nd annual Urban Chestnut Wolpertinger party in a dimple mug. It poured a hazy straw colour with weak white foam. Enticing aromas of husky grains, black pepper, clove, noble-ish hops, composty hints of Brett. Delicious flavours of malt and tangy hops bitterness, mineral water essence, smooth acidity, slight sourness reminiscent of lemonade, complex Belgian and wild yeast characteristics. Light body, spritzy carbonation, well-balanced tart aftertaste which eventually finished bone dry. Table-strength but distinctive, extremely tasty. Excellent example of a Belgian farmhouse style. One of my favorites of the day. I’d like a big bottle of this stuff, for sure.

Pours yellow / golden with a modest white head. The aroma has light funk, sharpness, hints of chardonnay, dry grapes and acidity. It has a medium crisp body with lots of frothy sharp carbonation. The flavor begins with some brett funk, pale malt, pepper, oakiness, bugs, lemon and chardonnay. The finish is dry, crisp and has some light fruitiness. Excellent saison from 2nd shift.

Simple and refreshing brett farmhouse-style beer. Hazy and straw-pale. Lightly tart and crisply bitter with subtle vinous barnyard. Nicely dry. Addictive and likable stuff that could be a vehicle for bringing a bit of funk to a wider audience.

Guest tap at Perennial. Pours a cloudy pale yellow-gold color with a small bone white head. Aroma of grapes, dry and bready malts, straw, farmhouse funk, lemon citrus, and a little yogurt. The flavor follows suit but doesn’t quite come across as crisp and fresh as the nose. Light-bodied, with a dry, funky mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Really nice bretty saison. Could drink this one all day.

Really easy to drink. Subtle flavor that keeps me going for another sip. Not much oak flavor. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at Bailey’s Range in Downtown st Louis June 2012-pours hazy dark yellow with a fizzy large bubbled white smooth head. Wow, thats a different nose-lemons, GOP, funk, slight hay/barnyard character. flavors show the hay/barnyard and GOP quite well. Long lemony dry finish. lingering GOP long into the finish. damn, this is a very dry brett beer. The brett character isnt huge in this beer, say like a Rayon Vert, but this is probably the most sessionable brett beer i have ever had. well done 2nd shift!

Pour is a cider lookalike with a fizzy white head. Aroma is lots of funk, white wine and lemon juice. Flavor is bretty with some citrus and a palate cleaning chalky malt. Not overly sour or bretty but just enough to make it above par.

Hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma is funk and wheaty malt. Flavor is lightly sweet, floral, honey and funk. Nice. Might be fun to age.

Sample from beer fest put on by perennial. Poured a hazy yellow color with a soapy white head. Aroma was citrus, bubblegum and grass. Flavor wad mild acidic notes. Floral and grass also in there. Spicy and fruity finish. Decent offering.
