Sampled at Urban Chestnuts Wolpertinger - 1st anniversary - Pours deep nutty brown with a beige head. The aroma has a ton of banana, rich thick wheat and mild bubblegum. Medium rich body with lots of semi-soft carbonation. The flavor starts with banana esters, dark smooth wheat and soggy graininess. The finish has more spice and light minerals. Nice dunkelweizen.

Tasted at the 1st annual Urban Chestnut - Wolpertinger beer festival in St. Louis, MO, USA from tap into beer boot sampler. Poured a hazy, dark reddish-brown color with decent off-white foam and a little lace. Roasty, tart, nice wheaty mouthfeel, tangy noble hops flavor, but with an unexpected clean impression. None of the typical weizen yeast esters/phenols. This one was crisper, and refreshing, more lager-like than most Dunkelweizens. Light-medium body, spritzy carbonation, dry finish.
