3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
750 ml bottle that lets loose with a hiss and pours a dingy straw color with a thin white head. Aromas are a little grassy with some spice (coriander and white pepper?) a little lemon and some honey. Flavor is a nice mix of lemon peel tartness and some grass and honey. Itís pretty dry but some sugar does come through to balance the tart edges.

Bottle-thanks to Vyvvy for sharing this well made Missouri Saison! pours cloudy yellow with a rocky white head. nose is lightly funky, some lemon, lite spice (ginger) lite sulfur egg note detected. flavors are lite slightly grainy and lemonish. spritzy body with sharp carbonation. fairly well made Saison here however, could use a bit less carbonation. The sulfur note, even though not really detracting, could be toned down a bit. all in all a decent brew.

Pour is typical saison copper with a fluffy white head. Aroma is lightly spice and herbal with notes of grass and faint sweet malt. Flavor also lightly grassy and faintly spicy with hints of bread and biscuit malt. On the grassy/herbal side of saisons as opposed to the sweet and spicy side.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Tasted on draft at iTap Chesterfield into tulip glass. It poured a cloudy yellow color which looked like homestyle lemonade with thick moussy moderately lasting white head of tiny bubbles and lots of lace. Initially mild aromas but the fermentation esters and phenols greatly increased as it warmed. Grainy malted barley and wheat, mildly spicy and resiny hops, orange and lemon zest, pepper and clove, eventually bubble gum, compost, earth, herbal tea. True-to-style saison flavors but tangier, more pronounced hops flavor than most. Bready, some nutty tannins, somehow simultaneously chalky and acidic. Subtle wild and sour yeast impressions which also increased as it warmed. Medium body and carbonation, very complex but still crisp and refreshing. Seemed like the most "authentically French farmhouse" saison Iíve had in awhile. Proof that a 6% beer can be as masterfully-crafted and delicious as any Imperial Fill-In-The-Blank.

Draft at the bridge. Pours pineapple with a thin white head. Big pepper notes on the nose. Nice dryness on the tongue with a slight hop thing on the finish. Solid example of style.

Pour is a lemonaid looking cloudy yellow. Aroma is fruity and floral with lots of yeasty notes. Flavor is lemon juice bitter with some fruity esters and biscut malt. Finish is super dry and leaves some camomile tea on the tounge. Decent take on the style, kinda saison 101 for those new to the style.

To finish drinking? Ok. Capped 750 from Wine & Cheese in Clayton, MO. Pours dishwater gold with champagne bubbles and a foamy white head. Aroma is citric and slightly earthy. And somewhat fruity. Full bodied with foamy carb. Flavor is citric, earthy, yeast/spicy. Frickin brilliant. Finishes nicely dry.

Pours a bright, cloudy, pale gold color with a two-finger thick bone white head that dissipates into a lasting thin head. Rising carbonation bubbles continue the entire time. Aroma of herbs, dry funk, crusty white bread, pale malts, floral hops, and earth. Flavor of bready malts, citrus, floral hops, herbs and spices, super dry grains, and tea. Light-medium bodied, with a super dry mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Really nice dry saison.
