Amber color out of the tap with a sticky white head. Nice fresh hop nose with some citrus and pine notes. Thick malty sweetness with some caramel and lots of candied citrus rind and some sharp pine notes. Long hoppy finish. Easy drinking ipa especially at 7%.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sample at the brewpub. Clear pale copper color with a medium off-white head that dissipates steadily to an outer ring. Strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of hops, citrus and malt. Medium-bodied with flavors of citrusy hops, pine and malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a grapefruit and hops aftertaste. Decent overall.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap sample. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy off-white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate balanced aroma. Medium to full body with slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. This beer exceeded my expectations.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On draft at Wolf’s Ridge Brewery. Cloudy light copper color. Not much of a head to speak of , but decent lacing. Aromas are subtle--caramel, brown sugar. Flavors are brown sugar and dried apricot with a yeasty hop bite. Decent beer. Not the finest IPA I’ve ever had, but tasty. Nothing to drive out of the way for, but better than ordinary.
