Lumberjack Black Lager is just such a beer. With its toasty flavors and clean, refreshing finish, it is bound to make a man out of any beer drinker, and a fan out of the manliest! 22oz bottle. Pours a very dark amber with an off white head. Sweet caramel aroma followed by sweet caramel taste. Nothing else. It’s OK but not much going on here.

22 oz. bottle @ Julio’s Liquors. Lager glass shows Dark brown or mahogany with thin beige head with decent retention. Nose is lager yeast, get no roasted notes. Flavor is real mild. Light chocolate malt, lager yeast and the weakest hint of roasted malt. Overall this brew drinks easy. Mainly because this doesn’t have much going on. Note: I really like this style beer, so this is a big disappointment for me.

Pours deep mahogany into a Sam glass. Mocha head with medium retention recedes to skim surface leaving spot lacing. Dark chocolate and caramel aromas. Thin with dark caramel upfront turning to dry chocolate and espresso in the lasting earthy finish.
