3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft @ Pizza Gourmet 1969: Became and instant fan of 3 Cordilleras, brewing to style, very drifferent from othe craftbewers that stick to safer light bodied ales. By far the best craftbrewery I’ve run into in Colombia (in Latinamerica). Foods Paring: Pizza Pollo BBQ.

2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
In glass It shows a dark orange color with a cloudy appereance, and a tan foam head. The aroma reveals some caramel, cereal, nuts, floral, earthy and leather notes. The taste has a light sweetness, medium bitterness and medium sourness with a medium body and a bitter ending created by an inadequate amount of hops. Not the worst of 3 cordilleras.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours clear amber with great head and lacing. Not quite a mullatta in colour, but whatever. Light sour finish. Some hops and mash malt in nose. Soft carbonation. On tap at Medellin Beer Factory in Parque Lleras.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A malty almost grassy aroma, looks okay. This is a pretty passable amber, some definite malts but is certainly different enough from all the pale lagers everywhere in Colombia to warrant a positive mention. A smooth finish.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
First microbrew i tasted in Colombia. That’s good news for a market dominated by industrial lagers.
Its a good ale. Not too different from Mestiza. Served on tap on bars and restaurants.
Feels consistent, nice color, poor foam (probably a problem of the bartender).
Tasted on La Rotonda and Hato Viejo.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
An amber ale with a thick off white head, frothy and creamy. Surprise in aroma, light piney hops over a nice biscuitty malt. In mouth, a nice light ale with light English hops, nice roasted notes, a bit lighter than expected but very quaffable. On tap at Pub Escocia,Medellin, July 8 2009.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
An OK amber ale--though a nice change from the lagers that dominate Colombia. Moderate amounts of malt, but a little too light on the hops. Hopefully the microbrew scene will catch on in Colombia--this is a decent start.
