Bottle @ Akkurat, Stockholm. Pours a hazy orange color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity sour tart funky aroma. Slightly sweetish tart and sour flavor with funky barnyard. Has a fruity sour tart barnyard finish.

Soft and smooth nose of flowers, grass and funk. As the aroma progresses more barnyard, hay and lemons start to appear. It’s slightly stale but for me that just adds character. Very balanced and easy to like. The brew is sparkling and vivid with a taste just as fresh. Flavours of flowers, apples, grains and grass together with tart lemons and barnyard funk. Finishes with a noticeable dry long bitterness. Very refined and balanced - Such a refreshing beer! Incredible!

[9/24/11] Mahleket Hanikot Shotrim ’11 tour. Bottle at Akkurat in Stockholm. Hazy dark orange with a big bubbly white head. Wonderful aroma of barnyard, lots of lemons and a bit of sweaty notes. Sour lemony flavor with sweaty and earthy notes and faint astringent hint in the finish. Rounded silky mouthfeel with soft carbonation. Amazing flavor and really quaffable. Wow.

Bottle @ Akkurat courtesy of Blafa. Lots of marsipan, apples, some tea-vibes... I also get some wood action. Very balanced and quite refreshing, It’s very alive for being 9 years old.

Transparent gold-amber, thin white ring, small-bubbled. Lightly rindy nose, dusty, bit citric and saddle. Heavy citrus and melon at the front, rind and citrus mid, more brett in leather and melon in the finish. Juicy fruit throughout, zesty carbonation accompanies the thin body, supporting the complexity. Very nice, one of the fruitier, less funky 3F I’ve had.

3 fonteinen akkurat’s oude geuze. 750ml bottle purchased and consumed at akkurat of course. One of the last bottles we needed to try on our visit... Pours with just a touch of haze, the appearance is a semi- golden lighter orange copper hue and crowned with a creamy milky white head that persists for a short period and then recedes to a thin film... Aroma is soft and nice with mellow yet still fairly assertive genuine geueze notes. Subdued funkiness, horseblanket and a little cheesy presence... Flavors are soft and mellow with a genuine and flawless geueze base, nicely aged and subdued. Lemony funk and traditional splendid geueze notes with a pale grassiness which then finishes on a lightly bitter earthiness on the backend. Clean, classy, and so easily drinkable. Light on the palate with semi-lively carbonation. 9/4/8/5/17

Bottle @ Akkurat, courtesy of pantanap. Purs cloudy golden with a small off white head. Aroma is buttery, fruity, floral, honey sweet, horse blanket and cellar. Flavor is fruity, dry but still slightly sweet, tart bitter; very nicely balance. Very nice sour buttery palate. Finish is easy sour fruity and tart . Not a big sour fan but this one I enjoyed.

Flaska på Akkurat 2011: Tydlig doft av ek och äpplen. Trevlig syrlighet och stora ekinslag i smaken. Ganska rå och lite besk eftersmak. En del kryddertoner tyckte jag även hitta. Rätt stabil.

Bottle at Akkurat in May 2011. Slightly hazy golden-orange with a small white head. Very tart, almost a little bit aggressive. The mouth feel was dry. A good beer with taste of grapes, oak and dust.

750mL at Akkurat in Stockholm, Sweden. The much coveted 50/50 geuze pours a clear (later hazy) yellow with heavy carbonation producing a large, rocky, white head with very nice lace. Probably a perfect appearance for a geuze. Aroma is heavy white pepper, heavy tangerine, juicy citrus, grapefruit. Ultra bright citrus, fresh as hell, with big moldy grapefruit and cobwebs. A small amount of mushroom and celery and tomato juice comes through, but is thankfully overwhelmed by fruity orange. Taste is sharp, sour, soft, lemon, sweat, salt. An incredibly soft and easy to love sour full of citrus, white grapefruit. Palate is softly lactic, tannic, leathery, but perhaps too much lemon tea for me. Dried lemon peel and pomelo come through. Musty, dirty, cobwebby. So bright with citrus and fruit but also shows some big old cellar notes. Really a lovely blend that shows how good the Lindemann and Boon straight lambics can be.
