Bottle: The aroma consists of citrus, funk, oak, lemon, and just a hint of burnt rubber. It pours a hazy orange with a two finger off-white head. The flavor starts with a quick dose of citrus. The finish has moderate lemon, oak, and a little bit of funk. It’s light bodied with lively carbonation.

Bottle shared by SlovakSniper et Rodenbach99, gros merci à vous deux. Dark gold pour with orangey hue and very creamy off white head. Aroma, besides the typical 3F funky, wild, farmyard aromas has some very distinct smells of sesame oil and green pepper. Taste is quite tart, lightest and "freshest" of the the 4 bottles, acidity is not overwhelming and quite drinkable. Feels already old; cowebs, earth and dust. Palate is light, very dry (driest of the four). Beautiful gueuze.

Bottle at RBAG, from my RBAG commemorative glass. Pours hazy deep golden/tawny, with a thin cream-coloured head. Had this side-by-side with the Zomer, and they couldn’t be more different; The Zomer is generous, with zippy fruit, and just a stunning balance of a warm and giving character with startling complexity. The Lente is all business - Big rubber, even moreso than the Zomer, oil, smoke, acid, horse, pencil lead - writing those down it doesn’t seem appealing, and to be fair the Lente is an intimidaing beer, but there were no flaws and the complexity is startling. Somehow, this one just works. Favours of sweaty fruit, big and broad and tart. Not as interesting in the mouth as the Zomer - to me the Zomer blew me away in the nose, and then topped that in the mouth. The Lente was as appealing, perhaps even a tiny bit moreso in the nose, but couldn’t compare to the Zomer in the mouth, though it’s still head-and-tails above most Gueuze. That all being said, I’m still giving this one a 4.7, so I’m splitting the very finest of hairs here.

I bought this beer on there open beer days. I payed 24 euro for the bottle and i regret that day more then the day i crashed my car. This beer should come with a warning sign about how horrible this is. The smell is awe-full and the taste is even worse. I brought this beer to a group of friends(+-15) and after tasting they all started drinking vodka hoping to puke asap. Conclusion: 1.7/10 would not even give to my worst enemy

Bottle. Huge thanks go out to Frank for this. I owe you one brah. Pours cloudy/hazy straw gold, thin white head, light lacing. Aromas are pure barn with wood, cheese, apricot, and lemon skin all present. Taste is peach, wood, funky tannins, granny apples, barn acid, lemon skin, and horse. What a delicious and salivating wild ale from Armand... classic fuckin gueze. Tart and puckery in the mouth accompanied by a medium body and ample carbonation. One of the most complex sours I have had to date especially for its age. Cheers.

Bottle shared at RBAG Summer Session 2012. Thanks Savvy!! This was a highlight of the tasting for me. Nose is incredible - lemon rind, sharp funk, horseblanket, lots of barnyard, yet refreshing and crisp with a hint of cheese. Pours a bit darker than the average gueuze - with plentiful foam. Excellent taste - very tart, lemon rind, and super funky. Not acedic, more lactic. Sour and refreshing. Soft in the palate. Fantastic beer!
