Gold colour. Aroma is strong and musty. Taste is funk, mustiness, very full bodied, bit sweet; lovely balance ends on a nice fruity quality. Palate is not sticky or unpleasantly sour on the finish. Overall, this series still continues to bring the goods.

UPDATED: DEC 17, 2013 Bottle. Hazy yellow pour, white head. Lemon, citrus, funky yeast. This is killer.

Sweet and wheat aroma. Flavor is swweter than expected with some decent tartness. Not what I expected.

Soft gusher. Big slightly fizzy longlasting head. Aroma is slightly grassy and refreshing, sorrel, lemons, citrus peel, grass, barn, green apple skin, oak. Taste is acidic and slightly fizzy, applecider vinegar, sorrel, soda powder, lemons, grass, citrus peel, oak. Nice!

Bottle corked and caged the first of the seasons I am trying! Cork opened with a solid pop and the pour has a deep golden orange color and a sturdy one finger off white head that retained very well. Aroma has such nice layers, medium acidity, lemon rind, clean funky yeast, light horse blanket, and pops of citrus zest. Amazingly clean and plenty tart. Mouth feel is light and the carbonation high coating well lingering on the tongue. Flavor cranks up the acidity a bit mixing with yeast, lemon rind, mild funk, basement dampness, soft oak, orange zest, grass, tart green apple, bitter grape skin, and a lingering finish that is dry but not crushing. This is so bright with the wood balancing things out bringing the flavors all together so nicely.

Bottle provided by my guy Todd. Thanks a bunch buddy! Pours a murky orange in color with a fingers worth of tight white head. Nose is bright citrus, lemon rind, musty basement, wet stone, and a light band aid character to it. Flavor is incredibly bright as well. It’s a juicy citrus bomb with a significant amount of lemon rind. There is backing must to balance it out incredibly well. Light mouthfeel, spritzy carbonation, moderate sourness, and a long finish. I thought Herfst was my favorite, but this may be surpassing it. The flavor is so bright and citrusy, it reminds me of blauw in some respects.

750mL bottle shared by a generous soul during RBWG 2013. This tied for my second favorite of the four versions. Fizzy golden pour with a nice off-white head. Funk, sour, doughiness, some barnyard and touches of lactic sourness as well. Very nice!

UPDATED: JUL 6, 2013 750 ml bottle to snifter (thanks LeAnn!). Looks good; a hazy orange with white head. Smells good too; tart, cheesy, and funky. Tastes like it smells with a nice, lively mouthfeel. Great beer!

Killed it! This is probably my favorite gueuze ever. Best of the 4 in my opinion. Amazing peppery lemon flavor with a heavy tartness that is welcomed. The nose is more of the same funky musty elements with some lemon and a great black pepper quality. I could drink gallons of this nectar. LOVE IT.

this one is also rediculous, tons of nuances, very lemony and light, oaky, love it
