Bottle at Craft Beer Co, London. Golden orange pour. Substantial barnyard aroma of lighter funk, some sweet notes. Tart flavor but no overly so. Barnyard funkiness , some citrus find and zest. Complexity at its best. Thanks magic Dave for the choice

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle, 75cl, at RBNAG-11. It pours an unclear, golden-orange body under a small, off-white head. Funky nose, earth and some barnyard, but less barnyard-ish than then Lente edition. A bit boring maybe. The flavor is on the tart side, with lots of carbonation, medium body. Barnyard, lemon and a little earthy touch in the flavor. A nice and tasteful beer indeed, but it lacks a bit to be as good as Lente. 111015

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle bought at Etre Gourmet in 2011.
Hazy orange with a white head. This was a very nice one, not extremely sour and tart but balanced and really drinkable. Apples, some citrus, funk, wood and grape. Dry finish. Nice craftsmanship!

2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
75cl Bottle at WWT. Gusher. Hazy golden orange, white head. Aroma is tart, funky, dank, dung. Flavour is sour, acid, dung, very funky, light fruity, more sour in the finish. Light bodied. Unpleasant and way too sour for my taste. Reading the other ratings I can only conclude that people are nuts, and I’m the only sane person in this world.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Cloudy light brown body, beige head. Light sour but also quite yeasty and barnyard. Taste is sharp sourness, especially towards the end. Lively carbonation. Rich flavour, very well made. Liked the lente somewhat better. (At WWT Leiden)

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle, 06/20/2012. Pours darker than your average geuze, opaque orange-red clay, foamy persistent head and sheets of lacing left behind. Musty barnyard aroma, horse blanket, cheese, earthy fruitiness and subtle honey notes- light grapefruit flesh, apricots, lemon citrus. Bright citric tartness in the taste, lemon rind, again some notes of honey, earthy sour malts coming through, dry finish. Medium thin palate. As expected from this series, a great geuze.
