3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle on a Sunday night. Pours with a lofty head that dies down quick, medium orange body, cloudy after multiple days rest vertical in the fridge. The nose is muddled, citric, with wheat and allspice. Not particularly assertive. There is a sharp, bitter note to this in the aroma, almost hoppy. The carbonation pops in the mouth, but the acidity is quite restrained. Some earthy morel mushrooms present in the finish. Easy drinking but not particularly exciting; certainly not worth $50.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
750ml bottle served in a Tumbler glass.
A: Pours a cloudy orange color forming a huge fizzy, noisy, bubbled white head when poured. Good retention and many lacings left
S: Nose is mainly tart and fruity. White grapes, apples and pears. Lambic yeasts are really noticed
T: Follows the nose, tart, fruity and Gueuze. Caramel malts. In overall, an acid beer. Metallic taste. Upfront is slightly sweet followed by a dry taste and a tart and mild bitter aftertaste
M: Light body. Medium to low carbonation. Tart aftertaste
O: Excellent beer. Delicate Drie Fonteinen style, at the same time, powerful Gueuze specimen. Highly recommended

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle at home. Has a hazy orange colour with a surprisingly big, frothy, off-white head. Aroma of horse, rowanberries, apple cider vinegar, citrus and barnyard. Sour flavour filled with more berries, especially gooseberries, wheat and forest floor. Has a rich and slick mouth feel, and a light bitterness. A balanced, rich and wonderful gueuze!

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle sample courtesy of "hannont". Colour...very cloudy golden straw with an overflowing white head. Nose...quite lemony but with a fair amount of barnyard and horse blanket, too. Imagine squeezing a lemon on a pile of hay covered horse pucky, and there you have it! Palate...whoa Nelly!! Did I just eat alum?! Man, this is an intensely tart beast! Ok. Now that the initial shock is over, the lemon comes back and makes a zesty appearance. There’s still funk and an array of sweet spice, all if which works very well together.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle. 2011 vintage. Thanks to KyotoLefty. Soild, strong barnyard: baby manure, spice, and strained fruit. Medium copper color, 2-3 cm head, great lace. Rich and sharp fruit attacks the palate right away, blends and moderates very slowly. Tart and crisp. Great, refreshing stuff. Tingling on the tongue for long afterwards. Excellent.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle from the brewery. Brilliant gold-orange color, with a big head. Lemony nose, light leather, grapefruit zest. Huge, vibrant flavors, fresh but complex. Grapefruit and lemon zest, light funk, nice bitterness, a fresh, very summery beer. Great.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle 75 cl. Pours goldencopper in color with a foamy whitish head. Tart apples, funkiness, sour citrus fruityness, more funkiness and lemony notes in aroma. Nice. Later on also some barnyard and old cellar and leathery notes appear. Apples, fresh apples to be more exact, in taste. Also that nice lemony juicyness is present mixed with them funky barnyard notes. Light white wine grapes as well in taste. Hints of sour notes from citrus fruits in aftertaste and more of that funkiness too.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
(750ml bottle) cloudy orange-gold, fine tan bubbles. Nose of moss on an old cellar floor, old books, bright citrus fruit, aged hops, wet/moldy papers. Taste of tart orange, lemon, quite tart in general on the verge of being throat Closing. Delicious but not as complex as Lente.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
750ml bottle, tasted at RBSG. Totally hazy orange amber color. Thin ring of off-white head. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, kind of soft, lighter carbonation. Light dry, light slick in the finish,. Awesome perfect amount of musty funky character, light citrus, light spice. All very subtle and well blended with a great amount of oak. Cool moderate tart taste, light spicy. Awesome geuze.
