2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Sweet, fruity, malty and hoppy aroma. Very cloudy, orange-brown coloured. Nice head. Looks good. Taste is weird, malty, bit sharp, sweet fruity, some hops. Quite a lot tastes actually but they don't seem to combine. Palate is sharp and a bit sticky.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Gushing to thick, irregular creamy head. Dull orange with greenish shine, cold haze. Very malty, quite some caramel, grain and faint hops. Slight bitterish on top of very sweet base, as from malt syrup or extract. Sugar too. Wheat is undetectable. Quite chewy mouthfeel, on the edge of sticky. Not much aftertaste. Dull. Even brewed at the Proefbrouwerij, I'd wish they'd stick to their lambic. Oh well, it's for the restaurant.

2.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
A simple belgian blond ale with some light fermentation issues and too sweet. The Bio, which is pretty much the same beer was balanced with more bitterness.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Blond beer with a big head. Sweet malty taste. It finishes off quite nicely even though it is rather sweet. Personally, this one is a bit too sweet for me but it is an ok beer. I had this one on tap at 3Fonteinen in Beersel.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Golden coloured with loads of small yeast sediment particles floating around and a brief creamy head. Vanilla and berries in the nose. Medium bodied, smooth and honeyish with caramel flavour. The sweetness grows towards the finish.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Caramel and lemon-shells in the aroma. Almost no taste of the alcohol, though a sweet malty finish. Difficult to rubricate.

A little thin. I don’t understand why they call it a Lambic at the label. Not very alcoholic. A little boring colour. A little sweet aftertaste.

UPDATED: FEB 3, 2003 Rerate.
Hazy golden color; giant thick head; beautiful lace. Very nice nose of malt and noble wood. Pretty tart taste; malt warmth; full mouth.
A solid beer, pretty original, suitable for any meal (meat, fish, chese...). Interesting.

[2002-08-10, 4-3-3-2-7] Dry nose, with something unpleasant, medicinal. Pretty sweet start and drier finish, but in the taste there's something wrong, like a veggie soup. Strange experience.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Translucent golden syrup colour with large buttermilk head and spatially sporadic lacing. Light fruit, chicken coop yeast and a miniscule dash of lavender perfumed dishwahing detergent aromas. Some lollipop candy is also there as it warms up. Medium body with surprising tongue tingling and bitter start. The middle has even more bitter but sufficient balancing malty sweetness to add interest. Finish is soft light fruit and a faint bitter aftertaste. Interesting, and a bit different.

Orange and caramel aroma. Golden, large white rocky head, beautiful lacing. Light citrus, sweet and hops. Bit sticky but a bit thin as well. Long hoppy finish. Very nice beer but not exceptional. It’s like a mix between Duvel and Palm.
