Bottle, 33 cl. Retasted yesterday. Light hazy orange-amber color with a creamy head and good lacing. Aroma bit citrus, fruity notes, yeast, malts. Medium body. Taste yeast, malts, little sweet, dry end, bitterness. Nice brew.

UPDATED: FEB 3, 2003 Rerate.
Hazy golden color; giant thick head; beautiful lace. Very nice nose of malt and noble wood. Pretty tart taste; malt warmth; full mouth.
A solid beer, pretty original, suitable for any meal (meat, fish, chese...). Interesting.

[2002-08-10, 4-3-3-2-7] Dry nose, with something unpleasant, medicinal. Pretty sweet start and drier finish, but in the taste there's something wrong, like a veggie soup. Strange experience.

hazy orange colour with a firm creamy head and a beautiful lacing; bready nose with citrusy, grapefruity notes; tart, medium to full malt body, some acidity and a long dry aftertaste of orange peel and almonds - a very nice brew

On tap at Hopleaf, Chicago. Bubblegum and candy aroma. Taste is fuity, citrus, vinous, peach colour and taste. A very enjoyable Belgian strong ale.

Translucent golden syrup colour with large buttermilk head and spatially sporadic lacing. Light fruit, chicken coop yeast and a miniscule dash of lavender perfumed dishwahing detergent aromas. Some lollipop candy is also there as it warms up. Medium body with surprising tongue tingling and bitter start. The middle has even more bitter but sufficient balancing malty sweetness to add interest. Finish is soft light fruit and a faint bitter aftertaste. Interesting, and a bit different.

bottle (BB 06/06). Surprising, surprising! Golden duvel color with a dence head. Aroma is very different from other blonde´s, very saisonal but with a more down to earth balance-ness! Massively yeasty with some coriander and spices, maybe some wheat. Nice blonde

Clear, golden body with light white lacing, frothy head. Nice rich aroma with citrus, grass, cloves and fresh yeast. Light body, nice funk at the start and a surprising balanced but fiery light bitterness. If that doesn’t make sense, try it. Hard to describe but it really works. Only downside, next to the lager looks, is the somewhat one sided aftertaste. Surprised me a lot with its awful and genetically Belgium label. (33cl bottle)

Clear light orange amber with a good, long-lasting head cover and curtains of lace. The taste is bright caramel malt with candied fruit and a light bittering in the finish. The total experience is far better than the component parts. A solid (not too sweet!) Belgian Ale. Recommended.

Orange and caramel aroma. Golden, large white rocky head, beautiful lacing. Light citrus, sweet and hops. Bit sticky but a bit thin as well. Long hoppy finish. Very nice beer but not exceptional. It’s like a mix between Duvel and Palm.
