Bottle acquired @ Stateline. Nice looking medium statured white head is rocky and lasting with nice lace too boot. Lightly hazy, gold, light copper hued brew. Spicey hop nose, light citrus notes, straw and nice pale malt notes. Body is light, good carbonation and tangy. Clean malts, grassy hop flavors, lightly bready, some saaz notes and a laid back fruitiness. Finish is dry with a solid Bopils hop bite. Now thats a nice Lager, i must say.

The 11.2ml bottle opens with a sharp Pfft!, displaying its bottle conditioning. It pours a golden body with a two-fingered head that doesn’t last too long. The aroma is grainy and sweet, the hops warm and grassy. Seems a bit thin, but presents a sweet malty flavor, somewhat bready, with soft, spicy hop bittering. Finishing on a mildly sweet note, this is a quaffable lager.

330ml bottle. A pretty good lager. Pale gold with a slight white head. Aroma had a tinge of sweet malt and some dry hoppiness. The flavour was also inclined towards sweetness with a slightly bitter finish. Ok.

33 cL bottle. Pours clear and pale yellow with a dense white head. Yeasty and slight spiced aroma. Flavour is somewhat watery yet with a mild hoppy flavour and a very subdued bitterness. Ends much the same way.

on draught @ Brussels 9th Belgian Beer weekend. pours slight hazy golden with big white head. nose is peppery and lightly hopped, nice and pretty fruity. flavor is fruity and nicely hopped. clean and refreshing. wow this really is an under-rated belgian pilsner. what’s not to like about this beer? 3.8

1/27/08, bottle. wlv chicago just got this in so I assume it’s fresh. smells fresh with a beautiful noble hop nose of leather, earthy, and spice. this is extremely drinkable light crisp refreshing with a wonderful noble/saaz hop flavor. just awesome stuff. this needs to be sold in 6packs not singles and if those 6packs sold for under 9 dollars i would always have it stocked in the fridge. oh course this shined a bit more on tap but still this is a wonderful belgian pils 3.7.
