The biscuity, honey-like nose also presents a touch of lactic acid. Medium-bodied with fizzy carbonation. Perfectly-balanced. Crisp, clean finish. Refreshing. Bottle courtesy of mgumby10! Clean aroma has a good Saaz hoppy presence. Slightly earthy pale malty flavor with nice Saaz hop balance before a crisp, clean finish. JorisPPattyn (5193), Antwerpen, Belgium
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 20, 2005 Draught Head gone in secs, but leaving transparant rim and layers of textbook lace, unbelievably; pale gold beer with (cold?) haze. Very hoppy-grapey nose, biscuity background. Extremely hoppy taste, "Belgian" hops, meaning rather metallic. Honeyish flavour, quite fruity for a lager. One can taste the Krausening. Not light at all, quite some MF, and a serious hopbite. Great Pilsener. Makes me really regret never having taste Victory’s Prima Pils - cause I wonder if these jokers managed to make the essential American Pilsener, instead of the original Czech. Great try, I want more of this. ThomasE (5178), Copenhagen, Denmark

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 30, 2006 Bottled: Yellow coloured. Unclear. Off white dense head. Sweet, herbal, light flowery and citric nose. Coriander notes. Flavour is spiced as well. Yeast, sweetness, fruits, flowers and citrus is detectable. Medium body. Is ligth bitter in the end. As Ungstrup said while we had it "this reminds me of a Belgian Wit", and it sure does. A good one though. MoritzF (5130), Bochum, Germany
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 16, 2007 (bottle) Hazy, pale golden colour with a foamy white medium-sized, lacing head. Slightly dustyand sweet fruity aroma with lemon zest and distinctive coriander notes. Slightly sweet and spicy bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a crispy mouthfeel. Initially malty, fruit-accented taste with a touch of honey; quite strong coriander-spicy but unfortunately slim and slightly hoppy finish. Pleasant, but definitely not Bohemian. pivnizub (5106), Bochum, Porúří, Germany
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 26, 2006 Bottle: Pale golden, slightly hazy, small lacing white head; faint grainy and a bit sweet-malty nose with a delicate touch of hops; mild bitter flavour, soft MF; lingering, mild "medical" hoppy finish. O.K., but this "Bohemian Pilsener" should better not be brought to Pilsen or Prague; the laughter will be heard ’till Lochristi............. MartinT (5080), Montreal, Quebec, Canada
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 9, 2006 Updated: Apr 4, 2008Any first impressions?
-A superb head idles atop a cloudy yellow sunshine, full of misty particles.
-Relentless citrusy, herbal, and floral Saaz perfumes invent new patterns every subsequent sniff.
-The smooth carbonation facilitates the gulp, emulating tapped Czech pils.
-The citrusy and herbal hoppiness proliferates on the tongue as well, without ever overdoing it.
What if you dig deeper?
-White peppery hops bloom in the perfume.
-A lingering, sandy, bready malt forms a bed for the complex, grassy hop finish.
-The mouthfeel is engaging, highly carbonated, but perfect for presenting its many flavors while remaining easy-drinking.
-A close relative to Svijany’s fantastic Rytir Bitter, or even the unfiltered Pilsner Urquell.
Would you like to bathe in it?
All day, if possible.
Bottle; no date. 4.2/5
A more recent batch was terribly disappointing, showing some sulphur, reduced hoppiness, and feeble hay...Flavors were lacking, body was tired, and overall it just didn’t have that spark of freshness the previous bottles had...3.2/5
