[1216-20080321] 330mL bottle. Cardboard paper aroma with a subtle fruity background. Slightly hazy, golden yellow orange body with a quick creamy white head. Sweet orange rind flavour has some sweaty notes and honey hints. Medium body has some bitterness. Really interesting, quite refreshing.

Appearance: Pours a hazed, dull, orange-amber body with a medium-large, white head. Smell: Doughy, bready malts with some sweetish hints about it and fruity notes of apple and even apricot. Initially, there’s no more than a dull spicy hop scent, but given a minute or two to warm it starts to really hijack the aroma. Taste: Light pale maltinesss with a light sweetness and a crisp raw graininess to it and underlying bready tone. The fruity aspects from the nose carry over into the flavor and pick up a very, very faint tartness. Spicy, earthy hops with a subdued amount of bitterness. Drying, effervescent finish. Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium-high carbonation. Drinkability: Pretty good. The light, airy carbonation profile keeps this one easy to drink but there’s also enough flavor within to keep you interested.

on draught @ Brussels 9th Belgian Beer weekend. pours slight hazy golden with big white head. nose is peppery and lightly hopped, nice and pretty fruity. flavor is fruity and nicely hopped. clean and refreshing. wow this really is an under-rated belgian pilsner. what’s not to like about this beer? 3.8

1/27/08, bottle. wlv chicago just got this in so I assume it’s fresh. smells fresh with a beautiful noble hop nose of leather, earthy, and spice. this is extremely drinkable light crisp refreshing with a wonderful noble/saaz hop flavor. just awesome stuff. this needs to be sold in 6packs not singles and if those 6packs sold for under 9 dollars i would always have it stocked in the fridge. oh course this shined a bit more on tap but still this is a wonderful belgian pils 3.7.

Bottled. Clear pale golden coloured with a medium sized wihte head. Feels very clean and refreshing. Nice malty and hoppy balance. A bit too mild though.

Bottle. Pours a light pale gold with a small frothy white head. Light cookies and yeast in the aroma along with grassy metallic hops, and apple strudel. It really is quite bitter and hoppy though it’s not especially coherent and it’s lacking fullness and doughy malts. Lively, prickly carbonation. Mediocre. Purchased at Streekproductencentrum in Halle, Belgium on May 11, 2006.
