Beautiful golden pour (kind of like a cloudier version of the Viking Blod mead), flat of course. Aroma like a slightly funkified apple cider, taste has that same clean bite. This was delightful. tomer (380), Rishon Le Zion, Israel

The aroma is tart, has dusty yeast and citric fruitiness. hazy, orange coloured beer with a medium, white head. The taste is acidic, tart and has horse blanket, citrus. Tartness is medium, not a too heavy gueuze this is. Nice one. YK23 (269), Haifa, Israel

The smell is fruity with lots of funky notes and some acidity.
It has quite a mild taste. The flavor is tart with some added sweetness. Mild fruit notes of lemon and green apples. Hints of wood. Rather clean character. The finish also clean with a very gentle bitterness and mild tartness.
Medium body, basically no carbonation.
Good, but slightly uninteresting.

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 13, 2009 Pours a cloudy golden orange color that is almost completely still, with only the faintest of bubbly heads that quickly disappears.
Earthy funk aroma with lots of barnyard/horsebalnket character. Musty with a slight lactic character and subtle light fruit notes. The oak again also provides a vinous, vinegary scent.
Very quaffable and easy to drink, especially for the style. A bit watered down and not acidic at all. Slight tart earthy funk flavor that is pretty tame for an authentic gueuze. Dry oaky vinous character with slight sour vinegary presence. Although it isn’t as sour as expected it becomes more so as it warms up.
