Gualthiero (35), Antwerp, Belgium Feb 6, 2009 37,5 cl bottle, 23FEB06 bottled. Tastes like walking through the woods on a humid morning. Lemony, though might be a bit more sour. rederic (1787), montréal, Quebec, Canada Feb 5, 2009 375ml bottle, hazy blonde, gold, orangeish hue, with no head, yeasty, bretty, barnyard nose, with some horse blanket, leadthery, dusty, wet hairy dog accents, with a hint of fruity green apple sourness, lemon citrusy, woody aroma follows through a sour, tart medium-palate, with a nice yeasty, bretty, funky, tart, sour green apple character, with some lemon citric, rhubarb sour accents, with a wet oaky winey note, leading towards a tart, fruity, white winey tannic dryness finish. arrogantb (695), Denver, Colorado, USA Jan 30, 2009 375ml bottle 02/23/06 bottle date $9.99. The cork was oddly very difficult to remove. Once it popped a whiff of barnyard hit the air. This gueuze is very still, golden in color. Smell is subdued lemons, slightest bit of funky hay or dead grass. The taste is decently sour, citrus, the lack of carbonation makes it feel like a sour juice. I ate some Humboldt Fog and Oregonzola with this and the oregonzola surprisingly matched up better with the beer even though I prefer the fog.

This stuff is the bomb! Still, golden color with no carbonation. Complex aroma of wet barnyard funk, hay, grains and musty oak wood. Flavor is packed with lemon citrus and a dry, oaked tartness. Near perfect finish that is both smooth and acidic, an awesome balance in between that really shows off traditional lambic. jarspag’s right...slap a Lost Abbey label on this and you’ve probably got a Top 50 Beer. Seriously underrated in my book. Butters (1623), Virginia, USA Jan 21, 2009 Sampled at tronraner’s Xmas Eve^3 tasting. 2006 Vintage. Clear golden pour. The sour nose is tolerable. Tart citric flavors, like sour lemons. Admittedly, I don’t care for this style, but I could still appreciate this on some level. jarspag (593), Los Angeles, California, USA Jan 18, 2009 Woodshop 4. This elixir kicks aaaaars. Not much to say...other than the fact that this was as good as most of the other "rare" lambics i’ve tried. seriously, take the label off and blindly taste everything - and this will be right up there. Silly good durhambeer (1188), Durham, USA Jan 17, 2009 Bottle thanks to guezeisgod and another one from someone who gave it to me as an extra... apologies for forgetting who you are, awesome trader person. Golden hazy orange pour with a few bubbles from the pour but no head. Very dusty/woody nose with sour citrus and lemon oil. Mild funk and grain as well.. Tart, but the woodiness makes it a bit sharp. Super tasty, for sure, but a bit disappointing for my first 3 Font.
