Very woody, a bit of cider characters. Seems light at first but a very sour bitter finish. Strange. I expected more I guess. iowaherkeye (1851), Bakersfield, California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 8, 2009 12.7oz bottled FEB 23, 2006, from Ledger’s. Clear golden honey with about four small bubbles around the glass. Sour unripened apples and acetic acid are up front in the aroma. Lemon, hay, and some funk are also present, with only a little oak. Doesn’t seem crazy sour thus far. Flavor was a bit more lemony, and just a hair more sour than the aroma led on. Not crazy funky, but there is some old leather. Dry wheaty finish with earthy bitterness peaking around a 2 and sourness around a 5. No carbonation with a heavier body than I had expected from a lambic, but I guess that’s because it’s still. I gave an extra point in the overall because it didn’t warrant an 8 in flavor, though the flavor was better than the aroma. Pretty good, though not the best--it didn’t disappoint. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 6, 2009 A very calm 12.7 oz bottle. No worries about off-gassing when the cork is released. The pour is thick golden amber with an almost imperceptible white lacing at the top. The oak is subtle. The lambic is sour, but not blow-your-head-off sour. Beautiful for sipping. Snappy almost ripe apples. Citrus. Funk. ChristianScheffel (4481), Odense, Denmark

Pear notes in a fruity aroma with funky leather and barnyard notes. Very tart and funky flavour with plenty of lemon juice. Naka (525), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jan 2, 2009 Shared bottle at Zeno’s. Pours hazy golden with slight amber tint. Pretty much still for all intents and purposes. Aroma is very sour / funky with tons of citrus and rotting apples. The flavor is also extremely sour farmhouse with a huge amount of lemon, funky yeast, and some mild mineraly character. Good light almost refreshing body. Finishes sour, dry, and oaky. Bring Rolaids. | 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 2, 2009 From bottle at Zeno’s, courtesy of Naka. Super tart gueuze aroma with acid and wheat and pilsner malt. Dry hoppy character with light oak notes. Heavenly. Medium amber orange clear with no head. Medium watery body with medium carbonation. Sour and wonderful. Puckering oak and acid with pilsner malt, dry hops, and light tart fruity character. Sour finish with acidic afte but not stomach-souring. Good stuff. holdenn (1440), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 30, 2008 The tight synthetic cork squeezes out with hardly a pop. It pours a hazed golden orange with no head. Sour earthy notes in the nose. Some grapefruit, orange, and candied notes. Tart and earthy flavors. Slightly acidic grapefruit, lemon and oaky, but smooth to drink. The earthiness is interesting though the lemons and grapefruit are a little much, decent beer though. 8/3/7/3/14 =3.5 piscator34 (1121), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 28, 2008 Bottled sample via and shared with oakbluff. Dark gold in colour with medium carbonation. Typical gueuze aromas of funk, lemon and wood. More woody and earthy in the mouth, but the lemon and funk are still there. Fairly light bodied with a good dose of sourness, although not as sour as some. Quite enjoyable overall.
