Commercial Description:
Blend of 1, 2 and 3 year old lambic. Fermented and lagered in oak vessels. In this bottle the young yeast is brought to sleep ('ingedoesjeld') so the original lambic flavors are preserved. This beer has no head, just like lambic. The lambic is brewed with 60% barley, 40% wheat, last years hop

Shared at Cleveland tasting 3/15 Thanks Mike Bottle: Pours a clear gold with a white head. Aroma, funky, sour, lemons, yeasty. Flavor, tart and acidic, yeast, sour, some funk to it. Nice classic gueuze, very enjoyable.

2008-03-05. Standard geuze amber with a diminutive white head. Mild aroma, lightly must but not particularly funky. Sour up front but not really that noticeable by the end of the glass. Just a light constant mouth puckering, hints at lemon sourness lightly, notes of grass and straw. Standard geuze complement, well balanced and drinkable. (7+) Average palate. A solid geuze, nicely put together.

Amber-orangr color, no head. Sour, fruity redberry and rasberry aroma. Very fruity, a bit thin mouthfeel for a 6 % brew. Of course sour, but very balanced way. Fruity aftertaste. Almost session lambic to drink in quantities.

Bottle. Low white and quickly disappearing head. Hazy yellow body. Horseblanket fruity grape vinegar aroma. Pleasant and yet spicy, fruity flavor of oranges. Low carbonation and a long aftertaste.

Golden to light copper with small pale head. Nose is tart and apple cidery, suprisingly smooth and full. Same goes for flavor, smoothly sour with earth and faint fruitiness. Medium to full bodied, very smooth and round mouthfeel. Great.

Another great offering from 3 fonteinen. Pours a hazy golden beer. Lots of horseblanket in the nose, lemony and a bit woody. acidic taste with apple, lemon, some funk, wood and a bittering, dry, tart finish. Nice and refreshing.

Tasted 2008-03-07. 2 years old. Pours almost clear, golden yellow with small off-white head. Aroma: Rotten apples (not bad). Flavours: Very tart and acidic. A little less sharp than I’d expected and actually somewhat round. Carbonation is very soft. A little too soft IMO.

Bottle at " The night of the great thirst", or something like that. Pours a hazy yellow/gold with a very small white head. Aroma is a bit funky with citrusy sour notes. Flavor is pretty tart...pleaseantly so. Great body and mouthfeel.
