Commercial Description:
Blend of 1, 2 and 3 year old lambic. Fermented and lagered in oak vessels. In this bottle the young yeast is brought to sleep ('ingedoesjeld') so the original lambic flavors are preserved. This beer has no head, just like lambic. The lambic is brewed with 60% barley, 40% wheat, last years hop

Thanks to Richlikebeer for this one. Bottle from Feb 06. Poured a transparent yellow color with no head what so ever. Has a funk smell to it and a little bit of citrus but mostly funk. Flavor was about the same but was also a little tart.

Bottle from Feb 2006. Pours a clear yellow color with no head. Earthy aroma of funk, yeast, and some fruit. Funky flavor with yeast, grapes and a bit of oak.

375ml Bottle I picked up in Seattle on a deep on the bottle shelf at Whole Foods Market. Bottled Feb 23, 2006. Pours a murky deep dirty golden with a low amount of carbonation. Nose is a nice funk, barnyard. Flavors of funky yeast, nicely balanced oak, funkiness becomes more distinct as the beer warms, barnyard flavors, light astringent sourness too.Mouth is very flat, a little distracting on this one for me, has a grainy texture to it. Would like a little more carbonation but still decent.

corked caged bottle into snifter (bottled Feb 23, 2006). Synthetic cork... not cool. Pours completely flat with a great golden body with an orangish hue. Aroma is very solid strong earthy gueuze -- sour white grapes, funk, tart yeast, etc. Flavor is quality as well. Not super tart, not super funky, very earthy... very drinkable. Medium to light bodied with the consistency of water on the palate. Overall: very solid gueuze, though not the best out there.

2006 12 oz from Deep Ellum in Boston. Pours a murky orange with no head or carbonation. Oak and barnyard funk fill the nose. This beer was very flat so I am not sure if I am giving it the proper rating. I think I would have enjoy the body if it wasn’t for the lack of carbonation.

375ml bottle from Delirium Café, Bruxelles. Hazy, peach colored with medium white head. Aroma is acidic and tart. Not much complexity. Taste is big tart and acidic. Some complexity in the taste that I can’t put words on. Some fruity hints but don’t know which.

Pours from the Bottle completely flat with no popping cork with a reddish orange color almost non-exisiting dissipating head that turns into bubbles along the outer edge. Smells like Barnyard funk, doctors office and oak, its sour and stings the mucous membranes. Entirely too flat, mouth feel reminds me of tap water, smooth and unclean, but its very dry. Tastes like what it is, a flat lambic - geuze with very little complexity. I need to try a carbonated bottle, I think with some crisp carbonation this beer would be fantastic but as of right now I have a poor impression of it.

Pours a slightly muddy dark orange with a transparent pearl necklace on its head. Smelled like the basement of cottage I used to visit in the summer when I was a young lad. It also smells a bit like sour blood orange. No carbination whasoever, so it has the consistency of tap water. Mostly unripe nectarine and peach flavors but more of essences among the sourness rather than actual flavors. I’m impressence with the nectarine layer there, actually...quite subtle, yet it seems to give the drink significant depth...the sourness is not forgiving...with carbination I think this would be mindblowing, but the lack of carbination almost makes it become an effort to drink more, even if the taste is fantastic.
