| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 23, 2009 The pour reveals a cloudy yellow color with almost no head. The aroma is funky, tart and fruity. The flavor is tart, mildly funky and fruity, interesting. The body is light to medium with an oily texture and low carbonation. This is far from being one of my favorites from 3 Fonteinen, but it’s still a solid gueuze. Tmoney99 (4714), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA

Poured hazy copper color with a minimal off-white head that virtually diminished. Moderate sour friut yeast aroma. Medium body with a dry texture and fizzy carbonation. Medium sour citrus flavor with a medium sour finish of moderated duration.
This is a standout for style beer. Parket (242), Bruges, Belgium
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 1/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 19, 2009 bottle, yellow colour (but not very inviting to drink it), sour and fruity smell. Taste: sour, fruity, oak, lemon, grapefruit. A decent gueuze! wimpie133 (161), Brugge, Belgium
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 1/5 | 8/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Jul 19, 2009 Bottle, 37,5 cl. Some beers just don’t look like top beers. This Doesjel from 3 Fonteinen is the example of it: a bear with no head, OK, it was on the bottle. But once poured out this beer looks like piss with a light-brown colour like someone having a problem with his kidneys (or his pancreas) or having an inflammation of the bladder. Very unattractive beer. The aroma is sour and strong, but also has some fruity notes and tastes a bit woody, liely because it was fermented on oak tree barrels. Very special smell, and so is tha taste: it is sour, but agreeable sour and not just sour to be sour. It is also light carbonated and also has the woody oak taste. However the beer lacks presentation ad pallet, I really like this beer. marchcow (664), Coralville, Iowa, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 18, 2009 Aroma of yeast, must, basement, some citrus, vinegar, and cider. Golden yellow color with very little head. Flavors mature on the palate and you dig in. Some cider, pickle juice, tart citrus, light woodiness, and some salt. Mellows as your mouth adjusts. Good. andersand (308), Malmö, Sweden
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 14, 2009 Funky and and mellow nose with light acidic flavours, less drinkable then others because of lack of carbonation and refreshing citrus but still nice with allot of wood, lemon, mellow grape acid and funk all blended rather nicely. bvc (258), Kenmore, Washington, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 12, 2009 375ml bottle corked and caged wrapped with foil. Bottled on Feb 23 2006. Pours a clear golden peach color with about 4 bubbles in the middle. Nose is tart...lemon, peach, white grapes, apple...some ’poopie’ funk, woody and earth notes. Very little to no carbonation on the palate. Flavor is great though...lots of stuff going on. Tart fruity notes, subtle funk, some mustiness, and a touch of wood. Very harmonious flavors. I only wish that this one had some more carbonation. kwatoko (30), Belgium
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Jul 7, 2009 Bottle from streekproductencentrum. Pours light slightly hazy orange, no head and almost no carbonation. Strong and acidy in the nose. Tastes citric acid, some oak, maybe something smokey, some other tastes I cannot place. Very nice palate, this is a top beer!
