Commercial Description:
Blend of 1, 2 and 3 year old lambic. Fermented and lagered in oak vessels. In this bottle the young yeast is brought to sleep ('ingedoesjeld') so the original lambic flavors are preserved. This beer has no head, just like lambic. The lambic is brewed with 60% barley, 40% wheat, last years hop

Another old rating. Poured flat with a golden color. Very potent sourness and some citrus coming through. The flatness in this one actually pulled a lot of aroma out of this and made it more potent. Nice beer.

Bottle, Poechenellekelder. Hazy bright orange. Mild dry aroma of fruit skins, seeds, and rinds. Palate is nearly flat. Super dry. Not tart. Has superlative citrus rind and pith character. Lemons. Only a slight hint of welcome acidity. Very satisfying.

16oz bottle. Pours a hazy light amber. No head. Almost not carbonation. Nose is light vinegar acidity with some lemon zest, and tart spiciness. Flavor is sour but not bitingly so. Lots of lemon and hay notes. Some funky sour notes at the end. No sulfur notes, and only light hints of funky cheese and apple to finish off with a light super dry sourness. Almost totally flat but you don’t really miss the carbonation. This is a terrific gueze.

Pours a light hazy apricot with absolutely no head. Aroma is cider vinegar, citrus, clove, and tart overripe fruit. Flavor is hay pasture, oaked accents, tart cherry, fermented apples, and the slightest malt sweetness. Palate is smooth; lack of carbonation provides a silky quality that finishes tart and dry. Very enjoyable.

hazy apricot pour with no head or carbonation whatsoever. Acidity on the nose is less aggressive than many other lambics, and has notes of citrus, cider, spices- perhaps clove, and a definite overarching tart quality. Flavor maintains the sour lambic quality, and has grass, hay, and a woody note. Tartness is clearly present, but not overdone, and lingers nicely. Quite a nice lambic.

Pours to a flat looking apple juice body with no head. The aroma is pretty phenomenal. Sour starfruit, rhubarb, oak, lemons, and funky barns. The flavor is sweet and tangy. Oaken lemon zest and lemon water. Surprisingly not extremely tart. Some funky horse blanket things but mostly a clean lambic. Subtle flavors. Some nice malt shines through in some sips. The palate is flat and velvety and very easy drinking. Mild aftertaste and very subtle sourness.

Bottle. Poured a lightly hazy bright golden-yellow color with a 1/4 inch, bubbly white head that eventually faded to a soft layer of bubbles. Aroma of dusty, earthy barnyard, leather, oak, funky horse blanket, and a yeastiness with some tart fruit (mostly lemon). Smooth, crisp entry with some tart citrus fruit (mainly lemon, like the aroma) with undertones of barnyard funk and horse blanket transitions into a moderate yeastiness with some dryness that lingers into the finish with some light notes of oak and earthy leather. Low carbonation, but the tartness and oak provide I nice dry, crisp bite on the palate. Overall a different, but still enjoyable gueuze that displays some complexity, but may have been a bit more enjoyable with some more carbonation.

Thanks be to The Cheeseman. Copper color. Aroma of funk, oak, dust and tangy citrus. Flavors are more of the same. Fruity, funky, sour and dusty. Very good.
