bfeldmann (1042), Wilmington, Delaware, USA Apr 15, 2009 Ho hum for sure. Poured a amber color with to much carbonation. Aroma was a ton of horseblankets and just barnyard funk. Flavor was much the same but was over spiced. Was just an okay brew.
BitchesBrew (710), Berkeley, California, USA Apr 12, 2009 [bottle] Nice golden copper color, with zero foam. Slightly hazy. Aroma is so damn interesting... kind of fruity, like "Smarties" candy or something, but real funky. Flavors are bracingly acidic at first, with plenty of fruity esters to fill things out. I personally like the fact that this is somewhat still, it helps you focus on the powerful funk within. Very nice. JohnnyJ (1282), Carlsbad, California, USA Apr 4, 2009 Slightly hazy golden color. This is a very funky lambic. Lemon, bread, leather, hay, oak, dry, tart fruit. Tasty. jake65 (1657), Williston, North Dakota, USA Mar 29, 2009 Bottle ’06 vintage: Golden color with a light haze. No real head to speak of. Potent aroma of fruity, sour, and tart. The taste is strong with mouth puckerin’ sour, tart, and fruity vinous notes. Getting a bit of that funky, barnyard thing too. Another fun gueuze. ditmier (1021), Boise, Idaho, USA Mar 27, 2009 2006 Bottle - Thanks jake65! - Pours a hazy tan with no head...aroma is barnyard funky, hay, grain, wood...high pucker flavour, lemon, dry fruit, oak pitch...carbonated on the front end and flat on the back...thats some crazy shit! Bloekie (149), Belgium Mar 25, 2009 (Half a bottle) Orange peachy color, flavor is very upfront with sour, sweet and bitter changing scenes. Aroma isn’t all that wonderful. FoolishMortal (965), San Diego, California, USA Mar 23, 2009 bottle, 06. Dark orange color with a few white bubbles. Wet hay, horsey aroma with a tart tinge. Light bretty flavors up front, plasticy phenols. Oaky, musty characters. Mellow tartness in the finish, with a lingering horsey component. Mouthfeel is a light medium, rather dry.
