Aroma of citrus, orange, yeast, dust, ... The aroma is not that great. Heavily sour, lightly bitter flavour. This is very great beer, quite balanced and has a nice complexity. It lacks indeed some carbonation in order to be a gueuze, but still it remains nice. JohnnyJ (1356), Carlsbad, California, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 26, 2008 Slightly hazy dark golden body, big bubbled white head; A bit surprising the nose is not really big and actually I find it a bit boring and quite 1-dimensional, lots and lots of wood, oak and ceder, and maybe a little dry tobacco; Flat soft a little fatty body, sourish but again a bit boring 1-dimensional; In the finish is finally shows a little personality, the sour parts grows with malic acids in front, more complex aromas where the oak is combined with sour green apples and the inside of apple pits aromas. Strange to me that this beer has less character then the young and old lambics on their own, do they just mess up each and become nothing. golubj (1301), Sunnyvale, California, USA

Aroma is sour and leathery, citrusy. The flavor is the same, very reminiscent of the oude geuze, but a little less sour overall. drfabulous (1287), Columbia, Missouri, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 4, 2008 From a 375mL Bottle. Generously shared by cquiroga. Slightly hazy, pale peach skin colored pour with a
thin, wispy white head. Lightly sour, pale fruit aromas of pears, nectarine skins, strawberry, and pomegranite
seeds. Amongst the fruitiness lurks a moderate lactic sourness with a touch of cheesy pedio funk. Medium light
bodied, gently carbonated mouthfeel with a moderate acidity. Some brighter peach flavors than those found in the
nose jump out right away, along with some mild apple cider and fresh pear. Perception of slight acetic qualities,
especially on the front of the palate, but this adds a little zip and crispness to take the place of the lack of
carbonation. Great combination of fresh fruit and aged sourness. Flavors of strawberry and pear skins linger in
the finish with a mild cheesy funk. Thanks for sharing, Chris! Brigadier (1260), Chagrin Falls, Ohio, USA

For the nth time thanks goes to miketd for bringing out another surprise lambic. This almost makes up for getting there after the Blabear lambic. I won’t complain though because if it he wasn’t such a generous guy I can’t imagine how many less rarities I would have tried. As far as gueuzes go it was mellower than previous ones I’ve tried. Perhaps my stomach is finally accepting that it can handle them. I may have to find a bottle whenever I venture to Belgium.
Aroma / Appearance - A cloudy tangerine body was slightly darker than most of the style I’ve seen so far. The sour peaches however make it just as excellent. Floral hints in the background provide a nice kick for the tarty fruitness.
Flavor / Palate - Tartness plays against saltine crackers in an interesting harmony. Sour peaches unfold next before a dry finish. This is more agreeable than most gueuzes I’ve tried which makes me more willing to seek out its kin in the future.
