| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 13, 2009 Pours a cloudy golden orange color that is almost completely still, with only the faintest of bubbly heads that quickly disappears.
Earthy funk aroma with lots of barnyard/horsebalnket character. Musty with a slight lactic character and subtle light fruit notes. The oak again also provides a vinous, vinegary scent.
Very quaffable and easy to drink, especially for the style. A bit watered down and not acidic at all. Slight tart earthy funk flavor that is pretty tame for an authentic gueuze. Dry oaky vinous character with slight sour vinegary presence. Although it isn’t as sour as expected it becomes more so as it warms up.

| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jan 27, 2009 Bottle. Sampled at the Woodshop Quad Tasting in January 09. Thanks to cquiroga for one kickass tasting. This stuff is the bomb! Still, golden color with no carbonation. Complex aroma of wet barnyard funk, hay, grains and musty oak wood. Flavor is packed with lemon citrus and a dry, oaked tartness. Near perfect finish that is both smooth and acidic, an awesome balance in between that really shows off traditional lambic. jarspag’s right...slap a Lost Abbey label on this and you’ve probably got a Top 50 Beer. Seriously underrated in my book. jehoey (766), Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 15, 2009 Aroma is citrus with toasted oak predominately followed with traces of funk. poured yellow with no visible carbonation or head. Flavor is extremely refined citrus (lemon with a hint of grapefruit) and toasted oak dominate once again. bracing sourness, medium bodied. more mouthfeel than expected. excellent. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 13, 2009 Pours a hazy orange with a few bubbles, then no head. Elegent in it’s purposeful lack of carbonation. Aroma is out there for sure with oak, lemon, mustard, dusty library, attic, and definitely tangy on the nose. Tastes sour for sure with lemon, oak, dirt, dust, mustard and finishes lemony here as well. The oaky dry finish that I expected is greatly minimized here and the aftertaste is totally cleared up. Slick medium body, I feel like there’s SOME carbonation, but it’s tough to tell amidst the sourness. Funky for sure, and a little more citrusy than most lambics. It’s definitely sour enough for me. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 4, 2009 Pours a murky lemon color with almost no head. Aroma is lemon, bandaids, and some leather. Lots of citrus in this beer but the nose is really huge and funky. Good mouth pickering sour kick on the front end gives way to citrus bandages and a deep earthiness on the back. Nice complex gueze. Tasty beer. Jayb0 (752), Cherry Hill, New Jersey, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 5, 2010 330 mL bottle acquired in trade with radiomgb. (bottled Feb 23, 2006.) Hazy orange-brown with no head. Almost flat. (But not quite.) Wild yeast, fruit, wheat, and powdered sugar in the aroma. Flavour is sour, although not overly so. Some apple cider characteristics, and a little bit of oak. Dry finish. Not too familiar with the style, but this isn’t bad. I’ll try it again. BeerGestapo (740), Windsor, Pennsylvania, USA
