COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Blend of 1, 2 and 3 year old lambic. Fermented and lagered in oak vessels. In this bottle the young yeast is brought to sleep ('ingedoesjeld') so the original lambic flavors are preserved. This beer has no head, just like lambic. The lambic is brewed with 60% barley, 40% wheat, last years hop

Bottle @ Haand festival. Pour hazy, piss-yellow, with no head. Aroma of grapefruit, lemon peel, sour berries. Taste is pretty darn sour, and pretty darn delicious. Medium body, with a slightly flat carb.

BlackIPA (326) - Rochester, New York, USA - MAY 20, 2012
Shared by me at the Monte’s Krown tasting yesterday. 2006 vintage. Very funky smell from the cloudy, hazy oily pour. This beers seems very muted to me. Not as funky, tart or sour as I was hoping for. Heavy on the oak notes. Almost a semi- sweet finish, but not really. This is like an entry level lambic. This would be a great beer from anyone who wasn’t named 3 Fonteinen or Cantillion, but as it does brandish the 3F name, it is only average.

Poured from the 750ml dated 07 Dec 2006.... Poured a slightly hazy copper hue with just a film of foam that dissipates quickly. Aromas are funky basement with hints of musk, sour fruit and a bit of old hay. The palate follows suit with complex flavors of sour fruit and basement funk but has a really nice lingering finish with a touch of that oak to round out the sourness towards the end. Great Stuff not Cheap... Id buy more !

pours a hazy golden orange with a tight white head. The nose is more subtle than the Armand 4’s. It Is dominated by funk, light cheese and mushroom, rather dusty, notes of oak and vanilla, hints of mineral and light fruit note. The taste follows the nose, solid funk of mushroom and cellar dust. Light cheese, oak and vanilla with light fruit finish and moderate sourness. The body is light, assertive carbonation and drinkable lasting finish.

2006. Clean lemon nose, wet oak, some honey. Beautifully mellow. Gently tart, great on a warm spring day. At 6 years old this seems to be on the decline but the oak still balances the tartness majestically.
