375ml by way of StFun – thanks Big J! Pours slightly hazy gold will just a few bubbles for a head. The nose is light funk, citrusy white wine, some faint stinky cheese. The taste is barnyard, dank wood, lemon rind, crabapples and white wine vinegar. Medium oily flat texture. Very tasty – thanks again Josh!

Bottle shared at Bruce’s in London - many thanks to the man of the hour, Jack. Pours murky orange with a fine, creamy white head. The aroma loads it up with the grass, light funk, some randy citrus, orange. Light sweet finish, sweet and fresh grass, moderate funk and sour bite, some orange rind. Light to medium bodied with average, massaging carbonation. Good grassy and fairly sour finish, some rindy citrus bitterness. Great balance. Probably the best beer of the evening.

Bottle at Cardinal. Hazy golden with a small, white head. Sharp, vinegary nose. Medium body with sourish Brett accents. Low in carbonation. A nice geuze.

2006 bottle, 05/14/2013. Pours ruddy orange, lighter highlights, flat save for a few bubbles around the ring of the glass which are quickly gone. Aroma is lemon, grapefruit and sour apricot, earthy barnyard component, mild cheese funk, wood. Taste is milder than the aroma, soft lemon and grapefruit, soured malt notes, mild bleu cheese, clean finish. Light body with a bit of texture, drinkable and not very tart. Well made, enjoyable lambic-like brew.

Bottled. A dark golden beer with no head. The aroma has notes of lemons, brettanomyces, and funk. The flavor is sweet and sour with notes of grapes, lemons, brettanomyces, and wood, leading to a tart finish.

2006 750ml bottle. A nice cloudy deep orange color with a very fine head, very minor carbonation. The scent has a pleasant funk to it. I noticed apples, apricots, lite wood notes, an earthiness, and a crisp lite lemon aroma. As for flavor it is acidic. I could taste vinegar, tart citrus, yeast, and a slight lemon tea like flavor. The finish is sour, fruity, and crisp. Overall I like this and if one happens to land a bottle enjoy.

375 ml caged and corked bottle, 2010 vintage bottled 1 December 2010. Served in a Unibroue tulip, the beer pours a clear gold color with an inch white head. Head retention and lacing are both good. Aroma is nice and sour, it smells like funk, lemon, tart apples, wood and some earthy/mustiness. The taste is similar to the aroma, but with the addition of some hay/grass. The tartness isn’t quite as strong in the flavor as compared to the aroma. Mouthfeel/body is light/medium, it’s a bit slick with moderate carbonation. I liked this, but maybe I should have aged it longer before drinking it.
