My 10th gueuze! 10/9/10. Thanks, Coleman! Big sour tart aroma with a nice slightly mild but wonderfully funky and sour flavor. I dig it!

375 ml bottle. Golden body, minimal to no head. Mildly sour aroma with some funky/appley notes. Low carbonation, low tartness. Taste is mildly sour with simple woody notes and some apple peel fruitiness. Drinkable and refreshing but a bit too flat. Somewhat disappointing - does not offer the level of complexity that the high price suggested.

From Bottle @fonefan gueuze tasting Ulfborg, thanks to fonefan - june 24th 2016. Bottle 2006. Pours a clear orangy golden with no head. Aroma has moldy, bretty yeast, green apples, vinegar, but in general pretty simple. Taste is sour, brettish dry, oaky, vinegary finish. Nice, but very simple. No carbonation and an oily body.

Bottle from 5/03/2015. AROMA: Perfectly ripened tropical fruits such as mango, pineapple and grapefruit. Slight oak. APPEARANCE: Some carbonation, small head going to slight ring, surprisingly lively, oily with some lacing. TASTE: Similar to smell, tropical fruits, green apples, touch of oak. PALATE: Fairly sour, some tannins, longlasting, punchy, complex. OVERALL: Quite surprised by the amount of carbonation in this "lazy " blend but I really enjoyed it. Itís good to try these things but I think they need to be drunk freshly because they will slowly carbonate and thus it will defeat the purpose.

Clear golden color with no head. Aroma has sweet malt and honey, some farmhouse funk and lemon notes. Taste starts malty but you also get immediately hit with lambic sourness. Finish is quite bitter and dry. Light, dry body with low carbonation. Quite good but not one of the best from 3 Fonteinen.

hazy golden to orange colour, miniml off-white head, which disappears promptly; aroma of wine cellar, dry white wine, lemony notes, some sour green apple, tart, acetone notes, and leather; taste is the same; I would not say that it is not good, but Iím not really impressed...

From notes. Enjoyed at a little get together at Dougís house on June 08 with Travis and Chris also in attendance. 375 mL bottle shared by Travis. Thanks dude! The pour is a darker orangey gold color with a decent white head that falls down to a collar, leaving no lace behind. The aroma is pretty bland for what I was hoping for. There is a lot of woodiness to this. The sour funk is definitely there, and there is some hints of tart fruit skins, but itís really acidic. The sour really doesnít pop like I was hoping. The flavors are relatively lax as well. There is a decent vinegar portion in front of the light fruit skins, but itís a little messy. The mouth feel is crisp, but oily. There is a soft carbonation to this that lets it feel syrupy in the mouth. It has a nice balance with it, but for the most part, Iím just not digging it. The aftertaste is lightly acidic and lingeringly oaky. Iím not too sure what to think of this one.
