Golden pour, high carbonation. Nose is leather, vinous, white grapes (I know it used red malvasia grapes). Taste is tart grapes, leather, caramel. Light crisp mouthfeel. Great bottle, got very lucky with this one.

750 mL bottle. Bottle date has rubbed off, but I understand this to be a 2003 bottle. Originally reviewed 10/20/2014. Deep golden orange body. Mostly clear with a big white head. Thick collar as it settles. Smell has a very faint semblance of a generic fruitiness. Nothing I would pick out as grape. Juts a bit fruitier than a 3F OG. White pepper, as is typical of 3F. Kinda funky. Quite oaky. Taste is fruity up front. Still, just a generic fruitiness. Oak is sharp right up front, too. Sour. An oaky, peppery sourness. A little bit of oxidation, too. High carbonation. Medium body. A great beer even if the fruit is almost completely gone. Oxidation is beginning to creep in, though.

750 ml bottle to stemmed Cantillon glass (shared with the Mrs.). Looks good; a somewhat hazy orange with fizzy bubbly eggshell head. Smells good too; semi-sweet, oaky, and funky with a nice mild grape presence. Tastes like it smells with a pleasantly lively medium-bodied mouthfeel. Damp basement and barnyard funk. Great stuff that Iím thrilled to have had the opportunity to try.

Bottle at home. Pours clear dark yellow to orange, fine small head. Incredible long legs. Gentle aroma of finely evolved geuze, with the typical 3 Fonteinen gentle funk, quite some oak and Pinot and Riesling notes. Light body, very fine carbonation, and then the soft touc of the malts. Very rich finish. Taste is sweet malts, oak and a hint of semi-sweet Riesling wines from the Rhine region. The carbonation is the finest ever experienced in a geuze, and even a beer.

Some new ratings found back. Gladly shared this amazing bottle of lambic with Mathieu87. APPEARANCE: light clouded blond beer, small rather unstable off white head. NOSE: sour, vinegar, fruity, quite funky. TASTE: very sour, funk, fruity, very balanced, nice in general! Quite impossible to say though that itís grapes... Very much enjoyed it, but probably very much like a good aged geuze!

Bottle - Pours light amber. Funky nose with hints of grapes and lemons. The taste is lemons, peppery, grapes, and sourness. Very tasty!!!

Pours golden yellow with a ice whitish gray head. Aroma is a little too sublte, bringing spritzy grapes lightly sweetened and balanced with a bit of tartness. The flavor brings sweet and light grapey carbonation that goes down really smooth.

Aroma is rather funky with a really nice earthy, barnyard note. Lots of herbal, woodsy character. Nice acidity with hints of grape must and oak tannins. Pours a fairly clear golden orange with a large pillowy white head that recedes to a film on the edges. Flavor has less funky earthy notes, but the charter is definitely still there. Lots of bright citrus with some medium light grape akin notes. Light oak with faint tropical and stone fruit. Light mineral quality. Soft acidity. Mouthfeel is medium light with medium high carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Soft carbonation. Overall, a way better beer than I was expecting with more grape character than I thought there would be. After hearing from others who had tried the beer, this was a great bottle. One of my favorite guezes.

Bottle at my husbandís tasting. Smells like sour vomit. Looks like beer. Tastes like five lemon sour faces. You could get some many delicious beverages for what this beer cost. EDIT: This is ineedbeerís wifeís account. I donít like beer, but I thought my reviews would be funny next to my husbandís.

Sampled at a Halloween party. Nice funk to begin this with smooth but really interesting oak notes. Some lemon and vinous effects. Earthiness and wild yeast.
