Bottle, 2003 vintage,11/25/2012. Pours brilliant amber, huge fluffy head settles fairly quickly, sudsy lacing. Aroma is bright, floral and fruity, with tart apples and grapes, awesome barnyard earthiness, hay. Flavor has pleasant grape tartness, vinous quality, lemon, light funk and oak. Light, crisp and effervescent palate. The champagne of geuze, superb.

4.7 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Aroma is rather funky with a really nice earthy, barnyard note. Lots of herbal, woodsy character. Nice acidity with hints of grape must and oak tannins.
Pours a fairly clear golden orange with a large pillowy white head that recedes to a film on the edges.
Flavor has less funky earthy notes, but the charter is definitely still there. Lots of bright citrus with some medium light grape akin notes. Light oak with faint tropical and stone fruit. Light mineral quality. Soft acidity.
Mouthfeel is medium light with medium high carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Soft carbonation.
Overall, a way better beer than I was expecting with more grape character than I thought there would be. After hearing from others who had tried the beer, this was a great bottle. One of my favorite guezes.

Bottle at my husband’s tasting.
Smells like sour vomit.
Looks like beer.
Tastes like five lemon sour faces. You could get some many delicious beverages for what this beer cost.
EDIT: This is ineedbeer’s wife’s account. I don’t like beer, but I thought my reviews would be funny next to my husband’s.

Huge thanks to Kramer for sharing this one with us during his christmas party this year.
A - Pours golden yellow with a fizzy one finger tall white head, quickly dissipating down to a light film, leaving little trails of lace on the sides of the glass.
S - Smells of strong must, typical 3F horse blanket funk, earthen minerals, very light fruitiness from the grapes and some minimal sweetness. This one smells incredible, easily the best part of this beer.
T - Starts off much like the nose with the barnyard funk and grape skin must quickly being joined by some mild fruitiness, light sweetness and dry oak. Finish is pretty dry, lingering long after the finish. Very gueuze like in all honesty.
M - Medium body with moderate carbonation. Spritzy feel, no overly sour, more funky making it really easy to consume.
O - Really nice lambic, just not one of the best ever. I would never turn it down again but I wouldn’t trade my entire cellar for it either. I had been looking to try this one for a long time and I am incredibly grateful to Kramer for sharing it with us. Thanks buddy!
