Bottle @ Too many geuze’s only one toilet, Ulfborg 2012. Clear golden of color with a white head. An aroma of oak, sweets, dry and weak raisins. A flavor of raisins, sour, dry and weak sweets.

Huge thanks to Kramer for sharing this one with us during his christmas party this year.

A - Pours golden yellow with a fizzy one finger tall white head, quickly dissipating down to a light film, leaving little trails of lace on the sides of the glass.

S - Smells of strong must, typical 3F horse blanket funk, earthen minerals, very light fruitiness from the grapes and some minimal sweetness. This one smells incredible, easily the best part of this beer.

T - Starts off much like the nose with the barnyard funk and grape skin must quickly being joined by some mild fruitiness, light sweetness and dry oak. Finish is pretty dry, lingering long after the finish. Very gueuze like in all honesty.

M - Medium body with moderate carbonation. Spritzy feel, no overly sour, more funky making it really easy to consume.

O - Really nice lambic, just not one of the best ever. I would never turn it down again but I wouldn’t trade my entire cellar for it either. I had been looking to try this one for a long time and I am incredibly grateful to Kramer for sharing it with us. Thanks buddy!

3/XI/13 - 75cl bottle @ Bobochamp’s place - bottled: X/2003 (2013-1039) Thanks to Bobochamp for sharing the bottle!

Little cloudy orange to grapefruit pink coloured beer, aery big white head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: sourish start, typical bretta nose, lemony, fruity smell. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sour start, lemony, wood notes, spicy, nice fruitiness, grape skin bitterness (tannins). Aftertaste: bit peppery, dry puckering sour, lemony, tannins, spicy, clean dry finish. Is it still a fruit beer? Not really. Is it still good? Hell yeah! More of a regular geuze instead of fruit beer, but a very very good one, then!

Bottle, kindly shared by J Beatty at Moeder Lambic Fontainas, 26/09/13. Hazed orange amber with a moderately sized off white head. Nose is tarte fruit, dank wood, light balsams, funk, soured grape skins. Taste comprises vinous fruit, dank wood, dry rot, earthy, bitter peach notes, grape skins, pithy fruit, light balsams, cobwebs. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry tarte finish. Fairly full on and top notch sour tones to this one, great stuff.

2000 vintage Druiven Geuze, Bottle @ Akkurat. This beer has developed beautifull and is a great example of how good grape lambics can develop with time.

2000 Vintage. 750mL bottle at Akkurat, pours a cloudy golden with a very large foamy white head. Aroma is extremely funky, full of barnyard funk, slight leather notes and maybe a hint of grape skins, but very far back -- basically this is all barnyard funk on the nose. Flavour is similarly very funky, with loads of barnyard funk, maybe some very soft reminiscent of grape skins, and some horse blanket. Very highly carbonated, with a hugely funky flavour profile and non hint of the high ABV. Finishes very funky and maybe with some dry grape skins. The carbonation is perhaps a little too lively, concealing some of the complexities. Another awesome gueuze from the master blenders.

Bottle 750ml [2003] The cork launched almost as high as a North-Korean rocket. No casualties. Intense carbonation. Pours nice golden (hazy) with medium white head. Aroma is of extreme barnyard, horseblanket, some fruits, flowers. Taste is sweet, barnyard, fruits. Palate: Perfect balance sweet/sour/acidic. Overall: Stunning preservation for a 10 yo beer. Dangereously drinkable. Impressive.
