3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Jeppe (2633) - Ølbutikken, - SEP 30, 2004
Hazy orange beer with no head. Fresh and easy tart fruity and grapefruity aroma. Very crispy and champagne-like flavor. Sour fruity without too much flavor. Good one, but too crispy and not the most complex.

Bottle @ S&B. Light amber golden color. Hazy, with a small white head. The nose is stinging acrid cheese, heavy strong funkiness. More cheese and buttery compost. Dried fruit and flowers. Sugary. The taste is spicy red grape skin, dried forest leaves. A bit of malevolent heat and general sour notes. Buttery lemon wood and drainpipe leaf. The body’s a bit agressive and full, which comes out when drunk alongside other fruit lambics. Prickly. Overall, a good lambic, but I’m glad I got to try this here instead of trading the moon for it. While decent, it felt like the junior of some others I tried on the night.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 ClubGonzo (1943) - Bergen, NORWAY - MAY 23, 2012
Bottle, shared with Bergen Beer Geek Tasting Crew @ Sour & Bitter Dinner, Copenhagen. Another big one up for dissection, here goes: pours a hazy orange body with a small white head. Aroma is intense lemon zest, horse blanket, green apples and hints of citric peel. Tart and very, very nice. Taste is white currants, lemon, horse blanket, hints of leather and basement must. Some herbal tones in the aftertaste, but where are the grapes? Seem to have been lost in the aging. A very nice lambic indeed, but perhaps not quite living up to the hype (or the price tag).

10th May 2012 Bottle shared at Sour & Bitter. Hazy amber beer, big fluffy pale cream coloured head. Light dry palate, a woody dryness. Maybe a whisper of grape here - pretty faint. Mild earthy sourness. As your palate adjusts the grape becomes more obvious and appreciable and elevates this one for me.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 ej (54) - Bergen, NORWAY - MAY 14, 2012
Bottle at snb. Pours nice golden and hazy, with a small fast dissapearing white head. No lacing. Nose is very tart, with hay and wild berries. Taste is also very tart. Green grapes and citrus. Fizzy mouthfeel.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Scopey (1652) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 14, 2012
Bottle shared by madmitch76 at Sour and Bitter. It pours cloudy orange-amber, with a thick white head. The nose is funky, farmyard, hint of sulphur, floral (including rose), lime, citrus rind, undertone of spice and grape skin (but not as much grape character as expected). The taste is tart lemon, grape skin, acidic, Granny Smith apple, lip-smacking sourness, hay, straw, hint of spice and floral, with a tart finish. Tasty stuff indeed, but not quite as well balanced as the amazing Millennium Geuze I had before.

750 ml bottle. Clear golden body with high carbonation and a big white head that disappears quite fast. Nice funky aroma with fruit and acidic, very pleasant, feels almost noble in the nose. Flavor is classic funky and sour fruity, perfectly balanced and really well made. The extraordinary here is not the flavor it selves, its the perfect balance between funk and fruit IMO.
