UPDATED: MAR 29, 2013 Bottle at Torst. Pours pinkish red. Nose and taste of fresh raspberry, funk, oak, farmhouse fruit and light acidity. The raspberry notes are ultra fresh- seeds and all. Great balance. Medium body.

750ml bottle shared thanks to Lukaduke! Pours cloudy murky dark red with no head and a few bubbles. Nose is musty ripe raspberry jam funk, wet earth and wood, tart. Taste is sweet jammy funky crushed rapsberry, high acidity, cheese, high acidity, earthy plant stem, musty wood. Finishes tart and sweet with tons of fruity berry, oaky funk, wet wood, light spice. Wonderful.

Pours a deep purple rose color with some pectin haze and a trace of rising gaseous bubbles. Raspberry puree with that 3F funk ! Beautiful layers of tart raspberry flesh, musty old wood, puckering acidity. Everything I hoped it would be... could have used a touch more on the carbonation but delicious from beginning to end !

Bottle shared with CLevar in New Orleans. Beautiful red pour with almost no head. Low carbonation. Tart raspberry nose with some seed and funk. Massive raspberry taste, sour, funky and quite good. Would be a point or two higher if it were more carbonated.

Very nice smell of the raspberry! Very still... Might be something wrong with the carbonation. Tar s excellent though! Love this!

’14 bottle. Murky slightly oxidized looking red. Massive raspberry jam nose, underlain by light wood. Full bodied, light carbonation. Raspberry jam, tart dried raspberry, light funk, lightly sweet balsamic. Delicious and luxurious.

Part of a stellar tasting lineup at K&L Wines in Redwood City. Big thanks to Jim for opening this one!! Whoa! Massive fruit and sour mixture on the aroma. Murkey red slush with minimal head...which was decidedly beautiful! Very low carbonation, flavor is tart and wonderful red fruit. Lingers forever. Wonderful.

Heavy tart raspberry juice. Still no head thick and cloudy red. Sour raspberry heaven. Tartness fades nicely.

2014 bottle. Huge thanks to Gator for opening this amazing bottle. Very jammy, lots of sugary raspberry, slight sour. Medium to low carbonation touch of funk. Bit underwhelmed by this, although it is fresh and could probably use a bit of time to sour up a bit.

Shared at a tasting hosted by Steebo on February 13. All I remember hearing was that a Tony brought this beauty. This, undoubtedly, gives the Cognac Dark Lord a run for best beer at the tasting. 2011 Vintage 750 mL bottle. The pour is a beautiful dark ruby with a small pink head that falls down to a thin ring. The aroma is awesome. There is a monstrous raspberry and a sharp tartness to go along with a nice lemony sourness. There is a little funk under the sourness, but it’s just great. The flavor is more unbelievable. The fruitiness is incredibly jammy and sour. Incredibly sour, with the fruits ringing in all the way through. It’s very acidic, but so smooth and easy to drink. The mouth feel is perfect. The carbonation is beautifully done to help it spread and coat the taste buds, and just linger in enjoyment. The aftertaste is all sour raspberry. Amazing liquid. I would love to try to get another bottle of this!

2014 Bottle shared with my dad, yay! Pours dark red, no head, some bubbles noticeable. Nose is raspberry heaven, some citrus, tart. Taste is fruity paradise, raspberries, my word this rocks.
