2010 bottling open by Jason at Epic Tres, thanks Jason! Poured into my Jackie O’s snifter. Framboos pours almost a fluorescent red in color and transparent in clarity. Not much head on the pour, but this might be a result of the glassware I selected. Nose is packed full of jammy raspberry goodness. It dominates the beer, it’s fantastic. There isn’t really any 3F funk, but it’ll come in time. Taste is dominated by raspberry as well, but there is a little more underlying funk present here. The mouthfeel is light, albeit almost a little oily? Light acidity, gentle carbonation, and has a nice, long finish. Incredible fruit lambic that will age gracefully for many years. Is there anything Armand can’t do?

Shared 750 ml. bottle poured to snifters showing a cloudy, copper color, with a modest, bubbly, soft white layer of foam that quickly reduced to a very light film, and little to no lacing. The nose was raspberry, with a touch of woodiness, some bretty funk. and a faint hint of cookie. The taste was dry, and ultra tart raspberry, retained a bit of the earthiness, showed low effervescence, but seemed fuller than light bodied due to the intensity of the flavor notes. Very flavorful, with amped pucker power! Rare but pricey investment.

Originally reviewed 5/18/2014. 750 mL bottle poured into a snifter. 2011 bottle. Hazy, kinda dull red. White head. A little leggy. Funky. Strong raspberry, but it doesn’t smell jammy or sweet like Hommage. Low acidity. Taste is legitimately jammy. Still not a sweet raspberry. Lemony sourness, more than the nose implies. Funk lingers in the back end. Tart raspberry also lingers. Medium light body. Well carbonated. Significantly more sour than Hommage. Totally different representation of raspberries.

4/VII/15 - 75cl bottle @ RBBSG IV - BB: n/a, bottled: 18/VI/14 (2015-856) Thanks to Tinus for sharing the bottle!

Bit hazy amber to rust brown beer, small head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: lots and lots of raspberries, some chlorine (as in most fruit sours), funky, lambic, sourish. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: very tart, sourish, fruity, raspberries, hint of vinegar, bit funky. Aftertaste: mouth puckering tartness, lemony, some chlorine, vinegar, raspberries.

Yet another amazing bottle shared by the ever-generous Diceman. Every time I add another beer to the "I will never get to drink that" list, Dice seems to show up and prove me wrong. I owe you, dude! Anyway ... Ruby red pour, reasonably clear with no head and almost completely still. Sexy fruity, funky, feety aroma. Tastes like condensed fruit puree + funk -- sweet and tart in all kinds of nice ways. Palate is the only weakness -- syrupy texture, medium body, and dead flat. Overall: great aroma, taste, and overall, would never turn down a glass of this.

Dégustée au RBBSG 2015. Cheers all!

2014 vintage. 750ml bottle pours a pale red color with very low carbonation. Flavors developed as it had had se time to breathe. Mild raspberry flavor and nice sour balance. Last pour from the bottle was more hazy and complex in flavor.

2014. The beer is red with a little bit of maroon in it. Off white head. The aroma is full of raspberry flavor. Little bit of vanilla. Just tons of jammy raspberries. Medium sour, at least compared to the LP Framboise that we tried never to it. Big jammy flavor. So much wonderful fruit. Deep funk. Very complex. Super tasty. Medium light feel.
